Yahoo used to air live concerts and years ago they did one for Offspring's show and they literally played the Smash album front to back it was awesome!

He was the valedictorian at a very large high school in CA, and has a PhD in molecular biology from USC, and his doctoral thesis that concentrated on the HIV virus was titled "Identification of Human MicroRNA-Like Sequences Embedded within the Protein-Encoding Genes of the Human Immunodeficiency Virus". He's also an accomplished pilot who did a 10-day around the world flight. He's definitely not some brain dead lead singer without any prospects after his musical career ends, and he and the rest of the band have been smart enough with their money to not need to work on anything that they don't want to work on. It's quite a rarity in music.
The Offspring were supposed to co headline a festival in my city and the headliner dropped out and went to cancel the entire show. The Offspring stepped up and put the show on for free. They are good dudes.
On his voice “not trying” its not really deiberate, but this is a little older Offspring - its rough asf round the edges and it fits their style perfectly.

That one and "Self-Esteem" are the two songs that kicked off their popularity when they arrived. A few years later, a big hit with "Pretty Fly For a White Guy," and then I don't know anything else by them. They may have a hundred other great songs, but those three are the ones that are very well known from radio/video play. Like... people that don't even want to follow The Offspring know the three big ones.

This song really spoke to me 25 years ago. I felt every lyric deep in my soul. It was the start of a journey toward better self-esteem and more confidence. It's easy to feel alone when you're in those situations and hearing a song like this did me a lot of good.
This song makes me think about my early teenage years where I was depressed and I was bullied a lot and after school I would go to my room and start up my slow computer and listen to music by myself to vibe out m. This song made me feel like I wasn’t alone as I was in a similar situation up with many reoccurrences until I was 28. When I saw Offspring twice this was the final song both times and I screamed out every word. Sorry to the people next to me

"Slim Pickens Does the Right Thing and Rides the Bomb to Hell" is a fantastic one of their songs from this past decade. They also have a new album dropping in 2021, so be ready to get to hear their stuff new.
Fun fact: While recording this one on Epitaph record "studio" Dwxter was accualy lying flat on a sofa and just sang along...Talking about laying back, right?

As a beginning guitarist, THIS is a very, VERY easy song to learn. No solo, just rockin' punk rhythm. You'll have some quick fun with this one. When you're ready for something a little faster, their song "Genocide" is a good one. My favorite Offspring song of all time is a tough, tough call... It'd be like a 10-plus-way toss-up. Dirty Magic is way, way up there on the list... Want You Bad, Tehran, Bad Habit, Da Hui, Why Don't You Get A Job?, Gone Away, Beheaded... tons more, really. I'm a huge fan, since I started listening to them in 1995 or so.

This is one of my favs. This song is more like what The Offspring are about. The other song was heavier lyrically. Come Out and Play, Gone Away, Gott Get Away, She's Got Issues, Pretty Fly for a White Guy and Original Prankster are great too. If you want some fun songs then try Why Don't You Get a Job, Had habit, I want you bad, Worst hangover ever, Spare me the details, I choose and It's cool to hate. The offspring have a lot of humor and sarcasm in their lyrics but occasionally their lyrics can be a bit heavier like Gone Away, Kristy, are you doing okay? and The Kids aren't alright.

So I have to tell you a story about The Offspring! So I had just graduated from boot camp in Great Lakes IL in January of 1995 and was going to A school, six of us decided to rent a limo and go out on the town. We pass this old concert hall in downtown Chicago and it had a now playing for The Offspring...NONE of us had any idea who they were but they had sold out and there was a small crowd outside. One of our classmates starts shouting that he knew everyone who worked there and could get us in.....we thought he was crazy. Sure enough one of the bouncers recognized him and we got in!!! Many...MANY drinks later I was in the crowd and this HUGE MF-er turns around and sees that I have wings on my sleeve (I was an E2 Airman at the time) he screams out "Hey flyboy...TIME TO FLY!! My man lifted me like a ragdoll and next thing I know I am crowd surfing! I get rolled up over the stage guard and was right next to Dexter the lead singer! He helps me up, I gave him a thumbs up and back into the crown I went. Needless to say I bought there CD on the way out and have been a fan ever since.
I saw "The Offspring" at Red Rocks in Colorado USA and they were Absolutely magnificent. Got thrown around pretty good in the mosh Pit, but still a Magnificent Show. I walked out with a guitar Pick. 🎼🎼🎼

This is one of my favs. This song is more like what The Offspring are about. The other song was heavier lyrically. Come Out and Play, Gone Away, Gott Get Away, She's Got Issues, Pretty Fly for a White Guy and Original Prankster are great too. If you want some fun songs then try Why Don't You Get a Job, Had habit, I want you bad, Worst hangover ever, Spare me the details, I choose and It's cool to hate. The offspring have a lot of humor and sarcasm in their lyrics but occasionally their lyrics can be a bit heavier like Gone Away, Kristy, are you doing okay? and The Kids aren't alright.

Green Day "Dookie" and Offspring "Smash" are the pinnacle of mid 90's music. Every single person I knew had both of those albums. Amazing!

So I have to tell you a story about The Offspring! So I had just graduated from boot camp in Great Lakes IL in January of 1995 and was going to A school, six of us decided to rent a limo and go out on the town. We pass this old concert hall in downtown Chicago and it had a now playing for The Offspring...NONE of us had any idea who they were but they had sold out and there was a small crowd outside. One of our classmates starts shouting that he knew everyone who worked there and could get us in.....we thought he was crazy. Sure enough one of the bouncers recognized him and we got in!!! Many...MANY drinks later I was in the crowd and this HUGE MF-er turns around and sees that I have wings on my sleeve (I was an E2 Airman at the time) he screams out "Hey flyboy...TIME TO FLY!! My man lifted me like a ragdoll and next thing I know I am crowd surfing! I get rolled up over the stage guard and was right next to Dexter the lead singer! He helps me up, I gave him a thumbs up and back into the crown I went. Needless to say I bought there CD on the way out and have been a fan ever since.
Listening Offspring songs make me want to skating again like I used to do in 90's.

I saw "The Offspring" at Red Rocks in Colorado USA and they were Absolutely magnificent. Got thrown around pretty good in the mosh Pit, but still a Magnificent Show. I walked out with a guitar Pick. 🎼🎼🎼
