@@irms7645 It takes an *insane* amount of work to be able to accomplish something like an iron cross. Even if we normalize strength training more (which is a good thing), 95+% of people will never achieve one. Most would rather spend more time doing other things they enjoy, I think.

At least you are giving 100% of yourself, good to hear that. I achieved full front lever hold for 5 seconds after 14 months of training so we both belong to front lever club now 8)

I'm the Tengri I actually can only do a one legged one. (Meaning one leg is tucked and the other leg is out) I would say Victorian is twice as hard.(about) I only held it for 2 seconds. And those 2 seconds felt like forever. The problem is when I watched my form, I wasn’t completely straight so I do need some work.
To begin you must aquire a pretty strong false grip as good on each kind of bars as for rings as for Iron, maltese and any kind of cross. After you must understand that the Victorian Cross or inverted swallow is the "Cross version" of the front lever that everyone knows. Thus you must be able to execute a clean, long and perfect ring front lever with False grip. Only to begin. After the relationship is mandatory to strengthen specific muscle groups active during the element especially adds, glutes, shoulders, triceps, biceps, lower back, scapula and forearms by bodybuilding such as triceps bodybuilding (concentric, exentric and isometric), dragon flag series, and to finish : dragon press and shoulders assisted dragon press both cause the dragon press works on your arms too but to have control and clean form the shoulders' assistance stills required. However look for : Courtney Tulloch, Danny Rodrigez and Carmona. Those are victorian experts
@@OneDerscoreOneder not really, he was alos training for planches,maltese,cross, inverted, cross, swings, what make Victorian is rate is the fact that it doesn't train the muscles used in planche, so the strength transfer isn't that large ,you need to train 2 extremly hard skills that doesn't use the same muscles
@@bhuuthesecond no it's difficult, but impossible without steroids / enhancements. In any sport, the top tier athletes are all using something. Look how long Lance Armstrong went until he openly admitted it years later.
@@wh0586 I completely agree with everything you're saying but I can't imagine somebody in the early Olympics before enhancements, steroids, and advanced nutrition was developed not being able to do the rings. Maybe not as nuts as the modern gymnasts, but I really think it's possible to develop the strength over a lifetime of serious training.

It's like with bodybuilding, if you understand muscle growth, you realise there is a limit to what a natural person can grow and maintain, there is literally a limit. Steroids and other substances allow a person to go beyond that, hence why everyone at the top of bodybuilding is on steroids. Most major league baseball players will be on something, same for football, basketball, you name it and you'll find enhancements at the top for sure
Muscle growth and ped that strength muscles aren't good for gymnasts, they effect tendons strength and healing, in rings tendons strength are far more important than muscles

It’s super easy to lose score in gymnastics, if you don’t know the judging criteria it’s hard to spot but it’s there

His Victorian cross is the closest you'll find to perfection. Holding a position like that just for 2 or 3 secs requires insane strength
