@@kolttahn05 I've been watching NN metal detect for years now! I heard his dad call him Michael many times over the years. And his grandfather gave him the name "Nugget Noggin" because he used to ask his grandpa all the time to go out and find gold nuggets! Hope this helps!

When I was a youth, I had a comic book that had a story about a well. A young boy fell into an abandoned well. Another child saw the fall and told the victim that he would go for help. When the rescuers pulled the boy from the well, he told them about the other child and the rescuers noted that the strange child was dressed in old fashioned clothes and wasn't found. Divers found a child's skeleton in the well. The child had disappeared many years ago. This comic is from the early 60s. I still remember the story.

I'm still wondering how long it took to construct that well! Just gathering the tens of tons of rocks to line it was a major chore in it's self! If you're ever near that well again, you might want to try sending down just one magnet, you might get down further..your double set up might have been too wide to hit bottom...just a suggestion...thanks for the video!!!

You might be looking at something quite different than a well.If you have seen any of the recent mud flood videos. you might actually be looking down into a mud covered Tower.Just a thought but no matter what it's quite a find, keep exploring, you do us all a great service.

It is amazing how good they were at making wells...and how they were able to dig it and then line it in such a tight area...it's really well made!

That well looked very clean. Next time place a small log across the top of the well so the rope can be pulled over it to save rubbing on rock.

Imagine the danger involved in digging and lining that well. Hand dug wells had issues with collapsing, often with the diggers inside.
