Glad someone mentioned covering the well. I " found" one while metal detecting on the property my girlfriend bought to restore an 1880's house. I was lucky and able to catch myself
Be darn careful around those old houses, years ago I was rabbit hunting around an old homestead. I stepped on a honeysuckle thicket and went nearly waist deep. The only thing that saved me from falling in the open well was an old bed spring over it. No one knew where I was hunting and the well was full of water, it probably would have been my grave.
I am in love with this old abandoned places, I can really spend hours inside just think and meditate, It's make you feel the time had stop since hundreds years ago, also alot of questions comes up in your mind like whats happened to those people who had been lived here or are them still alive? still married? still love each other? oddly questions comes quickly have no answer
I love to magnet fish! I actually took my son and his friend today and we pulled out two bicycles old ones, two old rims, and a toolbox with some tools in it and then I kept fishing and pulled out about 25 more tools, they were rusty as all get out but some of them can be salvaged LOL!
Hey brother, I have been a big fan of the paranormal for roughly 20 years and am somewhat of an amateur investigator myself. Using digital recording devices in older properties sometimes there are recordings of spirit voices. At roughly 14:50 when you lower your GoPro in the well you captured a class A EVP. I think it says “it’s right beside you.” It seid
This video gave me anxiety on so many levels 😅 Mostly when you kneeled down too close to the well; thank goodness your friend noticed it. But your smile and enthusiasm made the watch all worthwhile. Always a pleasure to watch your videos 🥰
Cool well , I put a camera down 70 feet into an 1800's well , I ran out of rope at 70' it there was water in it below where my camera and rope stopped. I dropped a big rock in and it made a big splash , a lot of water in it. Good video Thanks Michael. God Bless
Nugget, next time you see an old newal post please lift the top off and look inside. A lot of older homes had large newal posts and inside they would place the house plans and sometimes the history of the property and area. It was a great spot to store these documents. Enjoy your videos and I've been a fan since you started. Wish you further success and most of all the Blessings and safety given by the Lord. God Bless.
@@ButchHolladay It's the large post at the bottom of staircase. Most were square. Some were round. Most were hollow because of the way they were made making it a perfect spot to store the sight maps, building plans or other important documents. The only dumb question is the one never asked my friend. Best of wishes to you.
You can also put a chunk of lard on the bottom of the magnet if you suspect there may be not magnetic. That's how the old sailing ships did soundings and checked for sea shells and the color of the soil on the bottom.
Glad you have company, that well is scary. Always have someone near when exploring old houses...can end up trapped if floor or roof gives way . And your miles from the nearest 7-11!

I like old, trashed, beat up vehicles for going into areas where I wouldn't take a nice vehicle. Falling down that well wouldn't be good. Lucky the dogs didn't step on a nail inside that house or fall into the well.

Wow such a danger , the open well, I wonder if you covered it so no more animals get killed? The house must of been quite nice back in the day! I was curious about some old abandoned theme parks in Pa. here, have you ever thought about detecting any?

Dug a hole that size about 7 or 8 feet deep when I was a teenager, for no other reason then I wanted too. Hope no one has ever fallen into it and broken their leg in the last 40 years...

What a great nature ride! I was just sure one of those mud puddles would be ten feet deep😁. One thought I’d like to share is that you need to wear, at least, a face mask to protect you from 200 year old dust, pollen, mold, etc. Keep your lungs healthy and keep on sharing these great videos👍
When I was a kid I found a Coca Cola bottle opener from 1911. Later I found a cannon ball on Cape Henry and parts of a old locomotive that had been buried, that was with a Tandy metal detector kit that I paid $11 or $12 for. When stationed at the NTC in the desert I found several dog tags, religious medals, a few pocket knives, and on the old Spanish Trail I found old mule shoes, conches from the 1800’s. and some old mining equipment, So when I retired I bought a new metal detector, a probe detector, shovel, spade, sifter, pouch, knee pads....and I have only found a few coins and a piece of quartz with a bit of gold. Guess it’s where you hunt that makes the difference,
Awesome!!! Thanks for the generosity and the entertaining videos. I live in Chickamauga, GA so you need to head this way and we’ll get on some spots to relic hunt

Someone needs to put a cover over that well. Animals. (and possibly humans) could fall in and no one would ever know.
Imagine running through the woods at night and then disappearing forever...
I agree. Please put a cover on that well. If you know the owner perhaps he could put on a permanent lid.
Scary thought for sure!
