Finished doing my ps vita. Shortened the wires more and usb 3d print for usb c connection would have been ideal. Or at least took you time with trimming since you took the time doing the mod. Nice share either way.
Would you ever consider doing mail in mod services?? As in like I send you my PSP you do the mod and send it back after payment is received? Would make for more TH-cam content too!
I'd love to do this mod myself but how did you wire the USB C? The original port had 5 contacts and new only 4 and it's not clearly visible in the video. Thanks

Hi, great video. 2 questions. 1. Can you charge from a plug socket through the usb? And 2. What is the charging speed like?
I changed the mini USB port with a USB C port. The charging speed is similar to the PSP charger speed
It would be awesome if someone printed the mini usb part to match usb c

Look for the USB B mini diagram , there is one pin useless
USB uses 4 pins only
what type of wire did you use? and what kind of tape?
just a small enamaled wire, and kaplan tape, if i do this mod id probably also consider using solder mask on the jumper wires for the charging

It is a usb C to usb A converter. you can find them in most electronic stores for about 1$
