    Be true. You were disappointed by the speed, weren't you?

      Yes it only charges a little more than half as fast as the fast charge cable.

      Yashvardhan Jain not really it's got quick charge 2.0 using a cable this is a new way to charge that's more convenient and cool that will only get faster as newer s series come out

      Dude, my toothbrusher had to stay 1 or 2 days in the charger and it is pretty mutch the same thing (I guess) the only difference THIS HAVE A 3600mha battery while the oral-B, LOL, don't know... 500 ? =))

      Wireless charging seems like it still a growing technology which will likely find its place in convenience than outright speed. There's always the USB charging cable that comes with the phone.

    One big plus is when your device is not charging bc the port is messed up on your phone...all is not lost in terms of needing to get a whole new phone. Now you can simply use this charger and not fidget and wiggle or whatever to get the right connection between phone and charger. Personally I think that is one of the best parts with this type of charger.

    so, how fast your phone charges depends on the kind of battery you have? I have S7 and it'll still take about 90min+ to fully charge

    I got the note8, My wife bought me the stand , And this thing is sweet, very user friendly when at my desk on my pc day trading. can multitask with ease and im charging my phone at the same time. love it. The cord for charging is #1 . Charging speed for the stand is not impressive , but a natural speed. The functionality gives the stand charger value and an assit tool.

    I use this on a daily basis. Mainly because Im usually on my laptop and not on my phone. Its really convenient just to lean over and put the phone on the stand, instead of looking around for the cord. Now, if I used my phone alot more and actively used it while charging, I would much rather use a cable.

    • @NullaNulla
      @NullaNulla 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Instance Noodle, not so. Fast charge is 2.1a and regular is 1-1.2a. Not sure the voltage would swing like that either, it doesn't need to if the phone has smarts to detect when it has access to a 2.1a charger and both can and will then draw the full 2.1a.

    My biggest concern is that the wireless charging will not work with a protective case on the phone. I see that you had the UAG case on and it worked fine but is this because this case is certified for wireless charging? Will it still work with a clear silicone based case? I like the idea of wireless charging and all but I dont wanna keep taking off the case and putting it back on.

    • @instancenoodle8486
      @instancenoodle8486 8 ปีที่แล้ว +28

      Yes. When you touch a live wire, you will receive more electricity than just standing next to one.

    • @FAQUERETERMAX
      @FAQUERETERMAX 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Instance Noodle Your sarcasm is funny but it isn't quite like that. There are wireless charging pads that charge faster than the cable, and the S7 Edge already has the specifications to support those. The problem is they haven't solved the overheating problem yet, so if you buy one of those uncertified chargers it will most likely trash your battery. We need to wait for this technology to improve.

    • @instancenoodle8486
      @instancenoodle8486 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      FAQUERETERMAX
      That is true. However, the efficiency is still not as good. You still need a bigger wire and more electricity deliver to the platform for the same amount of charge to the phone. If you plug that wire into the phone, the phone still charges at a faster rate.
      One of the worse thing for batteries of today is heat. With Samsung moving toward non-removable battery in their phone, I do not know who would buy this charger and trade the longevity of the device for convenience (spelling?).

    • @FAQUERETERMAX
      @FAQUERETERMAX 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Instance Noodle That's the thing: no one wants to buy it. Efficiency is not the real problem here, it can be easily solved by connecting the wireless charger to a more powerful source. What was Samsung's solution for the increasing heat? A noisy fan (which actually "steals" some power too) that wouldn't let you sleep at night unless you turn off fast chaging. Genious! The strong led indicators also takes some power, but even with all the convertion+fan+led stuff, the wireless charger still doesn't use all the power the fast adapter can give. Why? Because of heat. It's so bad actually it has to stop sometimes if the room is at normal temperature. They will improve all this, but for now we're stuck with this charger.

    • @sepzillahd1894
      @sepzillahd1894 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      no sir. the device must be qi wireless charging capable. apple products don't have it. the iPhone 8 is rumored to have it.

    I don't get why people are complaining about the charging speed. You do know that you can _also_ charge the regular way, right? :D
    If you're in a hurry just unplug it from the wireless pad and put it directly into your phone, the cable... it's _right there_.... However, this offer the extra convenience of never having to deal with the cable, at least for me 9/10 days this speed will be more than adequate.

      there is nothing fast about that charger it takes a long time to charge at least 2 hrs. also is not so much of a wireless charger either the charger still need to be plugged into the wall outlet.

      the stand version is an entirely different model. You could 3d pint it or have a company 3d print one for you.

      Charging will turn of with the charger. It's quite expensive, but I'm still happy I own it. Downside of the package there is only the charger, you have to use the samsung charger cable which comes with your phone. With the price of the charger I think they could have add an extra cable charger.
