Interesting that she defrauded an employer early on, but no one knew as they kept it a secret and look what happens later on as a result. In 2005 I befriended someone and gradually realised everything that came out of their mouth was a fantasy (pretending to be a jetsetting millionaire, which made no sense as she had a regular job and could not have been getting all that time off work to travel, the way she pretended she was). She was fired from her job for embezzlement and dropped off contact with me, fearful I would find out (which I eventually did). However, just recently I googled her name out of interest and because her employer did not have her arrested, lo and behold, she was caught embezzling another employer and the only reason I know about it, is that she was stupid enough to take them to the employment court, all over a few hundred dollars she claimed they owed her in holiday pay. Turned out she lost her case as she had been mistaken in her calculations and was owed nothing. Then the newspapers got hold of it, so now when you google her name, she has finally been exposed as a fraudster and embezzler. Just shows you, people like this don't stop. Her personality is similar to Melissa - really needing that "respect" from people, re pretending to be rich. She had spent all her embezzled money on things that made her look rich, such as designer clothing and she constantly talked about travel and her possessions. Such a sad person.
@@johng4093 But if their ex employer chooses to not say anything, no one finds out. Some of them don't speak out as they want their money back and made a legal arrangement. They know if the person doesn't continue working, they'll have no money to pay their debt back.
Despite being a crazy idea to amputate her own foot, people have done crazier things than that. A pathological liar and narcissist like her, who took money from her own parents and left a house she rented in her will as it was hers, wouldn’t have any issues to fake her own death.
I had a boyfriend about 11 years ago who did this very same thing. I had always had suspicions about his “business” because he had a large office in an extremely expensive area and didn’t seem to be doing anything that made money. He would go out to lunch and stay at the bar throughout the day into the evening drinking. When surprise visited him, he’d be sitting at his desk in the dark watching Rolling Stones videos. He dumped me unceremoniously, which at the time hurt me. Fast forward 3 years later, I’d moved to New York and woke up thinking about him with a sense something was wrong. We hadn’t spoken since our break up. I googled he and his business partner and found he was wanted for stealing millions from his investors. I called the plaintiff attorney and gave him every bit of information I had. He was found and served only 18 months.

You're too much, Mr. Grande! I bet the athletic shoe companies appreciate your "buoyancy feature" as a potential selling point!! ❤️ you and your expert opinions!!💯
It would be hard to face parents, after you stole a million from them and spent it on partying down big time. Lots of people with way too much money end up miserable, no matter how they got the money.
Just a reminder, I'm not diagnosing anybody in this video; only speculating what happens when an Australian fake investment broker steals 25,000,000 like this.
Listen to the podcast Liar Liar, so many jaw dropping moments. I had to keep rewinding to make sure I heard right. Anthony keeps the ashes of her foot in an Asics box, she was wearing the asic trainer when she was raided by ASIC. You couldn’t make this stuff up. Anthony is an absolute freak who expected to be paid $25k a month by the court after the raid. He still believes she’s innocent & set up by ASIC. Most of his music has been removed but you can still hear some of his whacky beliefs on his account “Paws Off”. One line is “my name is Anthony Koletti, ASIC kicked my wife’s head in like spaghetti”.
Hey Dr. Grande🥰🤗 Thank you for the new video!! I'm watching this video while I have a few minutes to relax. I love what you did with the thumb nail! Although in this particular situation, given the context, calling it the " toenail" would be more accurate.
I read that shoes with feet in them wash up on beaches because crabs will eat around the ankles, but will not try to dig out the feet in shoes. The foot foot could easily be examined to determine how it was severed from the leg and if the was severed before or after she died. 🦀🦀🦀🦀🦶
What a tragic case. It’s too bad that she wasn’t taken into custody and prevented from committing suicide. Now, her son will grow up without a mom and she will never be accountable to her victims.
Uhmm? Just wondering what kind of life lessons she could instill in a young man. The art of marriage, facade of love, nurturing of deception, misleading parents and friends and believing that her lies would transform into the truth. Or, having magical will power that results in others just giving away their life earnings or retirement funds just because. Really can't describe her actions as an honorable mother. She only sacrificed her life for herself (assumption of suicide). In a few years time if a wealthy TH-cam influencer is taking the internet by hook or crook and she has a bionic foot...?
Caddicks mother is also claiming ASIC is responsible for her disappearance so you understand where she developed the mentality of I am not to blame etc…
Ponzi schemes were everywhere in 767 Boeing engineering in 1980. I was all the way to yelling at other engineers, not to do it. I was unable to talk anyone out of it.
The story remains confusing here in Australia. I have wondered if one of her victims was unhappy enough to arrange her death Your analysis certainly works though
She was defintely murdered. People that narsasistic dont committed suicide generally. I think though, it was more likely her boyfriend murdered her to prevent the family assets from being seized
Nay. They were her family and friends. There is a difference between being pissed and turning into a killer. These people are not killers. Killing her would also not have solved anything. Money may be hidden and they will never find it......especially if she died.
The foot was just a diversion, she's out there living the good life after a complete facelift. 😊 Cloning a foot isn't that difficult these days, surprised they fell for it.
Melissa was 2 years above me in primary school. She was friends with my sister. I only vaguely remember her, but she seemed nice. Who would have thought, hey!
Good morning Dr Grande, Very interesting video. I think Melissa figured she was very going to get caught. But, when she did, she just couldn't face reality. So, she took her own life.
True about floating feet wearing tennis shoes. Many have landed on beaches in Oregon and Washington. Drowning victims appendages detach due to wave action and scavenger activity.
"For those shoe buyers who are worried about dying at sea and never being identified this could be a real selling point" ...dammit I'm going to be chuckling to myself about this for days, thanks for making me look like a lunatic, moreso.
Excellent video 📹 THIS GRAVY 🍵 TRAIN DON'T RUN FOREVER People who make an illegal/illicit living must accept that their lavish lifestyle can come to an end abruptly. The police raid must have been so absolute and comprehensive that it seemed, 'all was lost'.
Dr Grande I love your sense of humour. You are a genius. So before I put my foot in it I will sit back and listen always learning something new. Thx❤❤❤
Great Case! I always thought her husband did it because he was acting so strange. But you bring up some good points for suicide! Her husband was probably tired of her and was happy she disappeared, I can imagine she was hard to live with. BUT, If she cut her own foot off, threw it in a lake to fake her own death, she would definitely go on the Mount Rushmore of Criminals! Lol!
@@pepelemoko01 He was a hair dresser and so-called sometimes DJ. She left her first husband (her sons father) for a younger and much dumber model just to have as a younger accessory on her arm. Like all Ponzi schemes they end up with all the money gone and the only money recovered for the victims is what they can make by selling off what was recovered in her home. ie: jewelry, cars, high end clothes etc….. There’s no off shore bank account because a Ponzi scheme is continually take money from Peter to pay Paul with her spending the extra money, that’s why Ponzi schemes always end because they’re completely mathematically unsustainable.
The way they decided it was "her" foot was by matching it to DNA on her toothbrush. What they should do is match it with her parents, or son. I'll be surprised if it's really her DNA. otherwise she could simply have bribed certain people like medical/morgue or funeral home workers to obtain the forensic evidence needed to back up a staged death story.
He did not hurt her, but he is likely covering up for her. That is my intuition. When she vanished, the bubble had been exposed, so, he had very little to do, hiding anything. It was all out in the open, she was running a Ponzi scheme like Madoff did, but in a much smaller scale. The technique was the same.
One thing that would've made it hard to for her to flee the country was that she was found out during covid. At that time there were a lot of restrictions on leaving the country, meaning it would have been much harder to go overseas. Also, unlike a lot of other ponzi schemes she wasn't found out because she run out of money and failed to pay someone- she got found out because of the financial licence thing. That might have meant she thought the fraud could've lasted longer (since most of the money she'd taken was retirement funds) so maybe she didn't have an exit plan in place.
An Australian documentary on this case says that Caddick had invested some of these millions of dollars in overseas accounts. Authorities are working to get that money back for the fraud victims. She had put this $$ in her own name. They didn't say how much but was a decent amount. Victims of these ponzi scams usually get little or nothing back, so I hope these victims get something. Obviously they sold off the house and expensive items to recover funds.
There's a woman relaxing on some beach enjoying an adult beverage and if you look closely there's a slightly different skin tone on her foot compared to the rest of her body...but, after all, nothing's perfect.
Thanks for covering this disturbing case Doc. I wish they had taken her into custody the day of the raid, so that she could be held to account. Defrauded her elderly parents and other friends! Unbelievable.
yes, should have put her on suicide watch (there is a reason for that). And now because she disappeared there are all sorts of conspiracy theories, but I believe she took her own life knowing the game was up.

It would be hard to face parents, after you stole a million from them and spent it on partying down big time.
Lots of people with way too much money end up miserable, no matter how they got the money.
Her pArents wanted all their money back first before the other investors
They are just like her
Just a reminder, I'm not diagnosing anybody in this video; only speculating what happens when an Australian fake investment broker steals 25,000,000 like this.
HI EVERYONE, AND THANX DR. GRANDE FROM PONCHATOULA, LOUISIANA.
7:52 - 7:58 Her family also never thought she would steal from friends and family. Melissa didn't care about anyone but herself.
Dr Grande, Thank you for another informative and entertaining video. You never disappoint 😊
I agree, I have been binge watching Dr Grandes episodes alot lately.
@@Leanne-mw8nmEnjoy! Watching Dr Grandes channel is part of my routine that I very much enjoy.
Suicide does seem a little drastic for this situation 😕.
She’s a narcissist. He’s better off without her. Also, his point about her losing her pride is a devastating thing for a narcissist.
Is she actually dead?....
@@alisonmartin8490 I wonder. If there was no body found, I wouldn’t count her out.
I love that hello fresh commercial, it’s the best!
Interesting case, and told with a good dash of humour as usual. Thanks Dr Grande!
Caddicks mother is also claiming ASIC is responsible for her disappearance so you understand where she developed the mentality of I am not to blame etc…
Exactly
The most disturbing thing about that case is that so many deranged people found it empowering and inspiring.
I'm not surprised by that at all. It transpires a lot of delusional people find this sort of stuff aspirational and admire criminals.
Reminiscent of the AGAM scams 🎃
Very good point.
Yes because getting spectacularly exposed to the point where you had to take your own life is so aspirational
@@puffpiece1375 - That's where the " stupid " comes in. Very , VERY stupid .

Thanks Doc. As a boat owner I've always been worried about dying at sea....problem solved.
Love your work. East coast australia. X
Ponzi schemes were everywhere in 767 Boeing engineering in 1980. I was all the way to yelling at other engineers, not to do it. I was unable to talk anyone out of it.
It is a good airplane. My son flies it and he has no problems.
@@linanicolia1363 40 years later, I imagine all the electronics I designed on that plane have been replaced with newer and better stuff.
I saw this upload and got so excited for another video! 🥳
The story remains confusing here in Australia.
I have wondered if one of her victims was unhappy enough to arrange her death
Your analysis certainly works though
She was defintely murdered. People that narsasistic dont committed suicide generally. I think though, it was more likely her boyfriend murdered her to prevent the family assets from being seized
I think she knew the game was up. She was being investigated and for good reason. Why would someone want her dead you would want her accountable.
Nay. They were her family and friends. There is a difference between being pissed and turning into a killer. These people are not killers. Killing her would also not have solved anything. Money may be hidden and they will never find it......especially if she died.
@@linanicolia1363you’re thinking with logic. If someone is really pissed and in a rage they will kill.
🔥 AWESOMENESS DR. GRANDE! 🔥
Why would a narcissist care about what others think of them?
Good morning Dr Grande, Very interesting video. I think Melissa figured she was very going to get caught. But, when she did, she just couldn't face reality. So, she took her own life.
@Elizabeth Warren: Coincidentally Dr. Grande thought so too.😕
Not seeing that one.
'...30 hours represents a lot of exercise...'
we love you, dr grande
Your dry humour actually caused me to lol- 👟 🦶 😱
True about floating feet wearing tennis shoes. Many have landed on beaches in Oregon and Washington. Drowning victims appendages detach due to wave action and scavenger activity.
Weird. I wondered how they came free.
you forgot to mention British Columbia. We have a whole collection of feet with shoes!!!
@@Dwightstjohn-fo8ki I know I'm ignorant. What do you mean?
Eeeek - but I feel that is what happened, and she is not alive. Thanks for the fun fact.
3:50 Dr.Grande, I'm liking that shirt! Always enjoy your videos and small points of dry humor.
Have a great day man!
"For those shoe buyers who are worried about dying at sea and never being identified this could be a real selling point" ...dammit I'm going to be chuckling to myself about this for days, thanks for making me look like a lunatic, moreso.
Bottom less lake... I got the pics and info... 😁
But not such a great selling point for killers who prefer the body is not discovered for many years. Like the bodies in Lake Mead.
That was cute and funny. Dr. Grande has a complex sense of humor . He is pragmatic. He entertains as well as he reports.
This is your best story ever Dr. Grande! Very informative and quite smart.
Excellent video 📹
THIS GRAVY 🍵 TRAIN DON'T RUN FOREVER
People who make an illegal/illicit living must accept that their lavish lifestyle can come to an end abruptly.
The police raid must have been so absolute and comprehensive that it seemed, 'all was lost'.
Dr. Grande's adverts are so cute!
Floating feet in sneakers is a common phenomenon around were I live in the Salish Sea area in Washington.
Same here in Vancouver Canada. The feet are suspected to be from people who jumped off a bridge to commit suicide.
Lol!
The husband's (Colletti)father is an accountant, and if talked to her for 5 minutes about her business he would have known she was full of it.
@@linanicolia1363 The husband reminds me of the Brad Pitt character in "burn after reading".None too bright and way over his head.
3:58. Dr Grande, you are such a nerd! What a look! And we love you for that!
Obviously they sold off the house and expensive items to recover funds.
wearing a mask can be helpful ; one positive thing for thieves........
There's a woman relaxing on some beach enjoying an adult beverage and if you look closely there's a slightly different skin tone on her foot compared to the rest of her body...but, after all, nothing's perfect.
oh those malfunctioning cameras.
Thank you so much for the laughter I enjoyed from your humor Dr ..You never disappoint !!
I love listening to Dr Grande he's a hoot, tactful sly remarks so cool
Can we have more cooking tutorials like in the 'Hello Fresh' sponsor ad you showed? Those glimpses into your private life are cool.🤙🤙
Yes him at the table in his lil vacay shirt was nice
Thanks
Thanks for covering this disturbing case Doc. I wish they had taken her into custody the day of the raid, so that she could be held to account. Defrauded her elderly parents and other friends! Unbelievable.
yes, should have put her on suicide watch (there is a reason for that). And now because she disappeared there are all sorts of conspiracy theories, but I believe she took her own life knowing the game was up.
Great ad Dr. G!
