    I just want to say, the production quality on this video is absolutely amazing. As someone who shoots and edits some footage, I understand how much of an effort it is to edit something together. Thank you Hannah, for the video, the aesthetics and the narrative. Instantly subscribed.
    Also, I got my first V5 today so I'm extra stoked.

    These are some awesome advice Hannah. Definitely can't stress enough about footwork and body positioning when it comes to any sort of climbing. Strength can get you so far but when it comes to different problems that have dynamic movement, crimps or slopers, it can be quite the challenge. I'm looking forward to part two of this series and hope to improve my climbing

    I’ve got enormous boulders throughout my yard that I’m now seeing the potential of there massive😂 I’ve climbed on them my whole life but usually use the easiest routes we’ve actually had rock climbers that saw them from the road come attempt a vertical face on one of them that’s at least 15 feet tall and barely anything to grab but I’m just getting more interested in climbing in general so they’ve got me a little pumped up😂😂😂 I’ve also got a climbing gym 30 minutes from home and on the way to work and back so I’m planning on going out there today. Ive been gardening for 13 years so work ends at dark(usually) and my local gym closes at 10. I mountain bike but it’s hard to get out there after work like I do with longer days. I obsessively mtb so we’ll see about this new interest. Thankfully people like you make a million helpful videos thank you!👍

    Love the clear, succinct explanations of some really handy climbing tips! Definitely agree that the foot swap is probably one of the best beginner tips - it definitely unlocked so many more climbing options once I learnt it! 🥰

    Love all your videos and find them really useful. I have been working loads on my footwork thanks to this and your coaching sessions with Be. Is there any chance of you sharing an at home routine for improving upper body strength?

    Smearing, smearing, smearing...
    I've been bouldering for about a year now and since i learned about it so many boulders have been much easier, whether its just smearing a volume or the wall, proper placement of the foot is HUGE

    Im about to go bouldering for the second time so will use swapping and smearing as a mantra during the session and find ways to use them. Thanks!

    I sometimes use smearing for a foot swap. I place the foot I want to stand on against the wall besides the foot currently on the hold, then smear with both feet, and place the other foot on the hold. Most of the time I'm doing the jumpy thingy to switch feet though ;D

    The foot swap is the most important skill in climbing, and its so fun to pull off.

    • @gary5926
      @gary5926 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Foot swapping constantly shows poor positioning and is inefficient on the wall.

      @@gary5926 there are many routes set up in many climbing centres inwhich the route is designed with a foot swap in mind
