If there’s one important thing I can share in this video, it’s this: don’t neglect good travel insurance, okay? OKAY? 😅 Guys, thanks for the support! I promise I’ll be back on my feet soon and continue the journey 🫡 And finally a little spoiler… After the first surgery things didn’t go as planned, so part two and another surgery are coming soon.
As an Indonesian, I must say that you’re at the perfect country for a hospital treatment/surgery, even most Indonesian rather go to Malaysia for the best service/ treatment
Yeah, I see your point. In part 2 of this video, there will be exactly that situation. I moved from Malaysia to Indonesia after the first surgery, but the recovery didn’t go well. I tried to fix the problem in Indonesia but couldn’t, so I ended up going back to Malaysia for the second surgery.
Hello from Malaysia. I don't have any specific reason, but honestly, I just want to say that I'm really happy to see you healthy again, or at least, that's what I hope.
I am a Malaysian and I take pride in our Malaysian hospitality, As much as I do, I dearly hope that you will be fully recovered soon. you lucky Roman because Malaysia" s hospital is one of the best in south east Asia I guess, because Indonesian people love and prefer to get there for medical check up, etc
Love your positive approach man. When you have no control over anything else, you can always choose to laugh. Also, Im planning a trip from USA to Malaysia specifically to get a comprehensive check up at a Malaysian hospital. They're that good! As unlucky as it is to have a medical issue while travelling, its kinda lucky that it happened in Malaysia. I cant imagine this situation happening while you're exploring an underdeveloped city or knee deep in a jungle...

I watched the video when you first arrived in Kuala Lumpur. Saw you did your workout regime and I remember thinking... wow, this guy literally lifted his whole body upward! I hope this spinal injury is not caused by your workout regime 😟. Please take it easy now and hope you'll be back on your feet, travelling again soon 😊 🙏🏽
Hey! Thanks for the support!) This problem is cumulative, it does not happen because of one event. There are so many factors, including genetic factor, and this one is the main contributor. On my mom's side of the family, all my relatives had arthritis. So I was always at risk, and the problem with my spine and discs had been accumulating for years ⏳ There’s no specific actions that I should do or not do (except for obvious ones like lifting weights with wrong technique)
Many exercises can affect spine but dead hangs or pull ups are beneficial for spine health. It stretches and releases tension in the spinal discs, especially for those suffering bulging discs and people who sits a lot/sedentary. For people who can’t do dead hangs or pull ups, pushing down a table with both hands while lifting the body up/hanging the lower body, is also helpful. Another healthy spine exercise is cat-cow stretch. These are the only few exercises recommended by world renowned spine doctor, Prof Steward McGill, that do not adversely affect spines but keep them healthy.
Prince Court is such a fantastic, well staffed, trustworty and well equiped hospital, state of the art and for reasonable prices. It is so destressing to know you do not need to worry about being misinformed or mishandled. And fully agree with you, never ever travel or live abroad without a good health insurance. Premiums may be high, but so is the bill for treatment if you have to fork it out from your pocket. Hope your following surgery will be successful, you're a delight to listen to and view, stay strong and get better!

We have few fine top class government hospitals here in Seri Kembangan n nearby areas, notably Serdang Hospital, UPM Hospital (HPUPM), Putrajaya Hospital & Kajang Hospital plus few good private hospitals like Columbia Hospital, KPJ Hospital & Az-Zahrah Hospital. They're all good top class hospitals..
My first impression of Prince Court Specialist Hospital was, "What hospital is this?" You would not be able to see any patient bed transfers around the hospital. It's hidden. It makes you feel less scary to be in a hospital. The first ever 7-star hospital in Malaysia was made by PETRONAS. Most of PETRONAS staff will get specialist treatment from here. I'm glad that they take care of you well.
Glad it all worked out well for you. Are you a solo traveler? It must be scary to be admitted to hospital in a foreign country all on your own. Brave man!
Hi! Thank you! Yes, I’m traveling solo. So I have no options, but to do everything, including this hospital thing on my own 😅 It’s OK, you learn a lot about yourself when you’re completely self-sufficient 🤔
I saw your latest video with 80k USD for spinal treatment. It was indeed a good decision that you got a super Insurance Coverage. I'm surprised hat you and your mum have a great command of English. And your mum seems to have an American accent. It is good that you have recovered. May 2025 be better for you.
i apologize for laughing everytime you accidentally bump into things. also, 15:00 - 15:05 = trippy (again, sorry, you were in pain and having trouble walking but here I am commenting on trippy shots). this video was very entertaining 😂. hope the recovery goes well, Roman!
As a Malaysian, I am very proud of our medical system - both public and private. Our doctors and nurses are good. Meanwhile, the Russian Embassy is not far from Princecourt Hospital and I learned some Russian there too!
Bisa minum air is Indonesian version. In Malay bahasa it would be " Boleh minum air?" "Bisa(INA)=Boleh(MAS)" Nevermind, it is still understandable no worries. Anyway... speedy recovery and enjoy our Malaysia hospitality❤
@Roman_onboard yup sounds better. But if you want to make it more accurate.. should put "ke" behind to emphasize eg.. boleh minum ke? Boleh makan roti ke? It's mean can i eat roti? Can i drink water? Itsokay, u doing good so far. As long as it's understandable..no big issue😊
Bro, so blessed to have that insurance and that amazing hospital. Wishing you a healthy full recovery my friend. What did you do before you decided to travel full time?
Thanks, brother, I appreciate that 👍🏽 About my business - in a nutshell - I'm a consultant in managing catering (dining) establishments, and I still do that now.
Surgeons in Malaysia are as skillfull as many developed countries and fees are way cheaper too. Hope you will recover well and passionately enjoying our Malaysian culture.
Hi Roman, how are you feeling now? Hows your hand, still numb, are they fully ok now? Hope you make a full recovery 😊. I like your vlog, very interesting 😊. Take care ya ✌️💕
I had a major reconstruction required during MCO period i ended up doing it overseas in Australia however I was in Malaysia working for two years with experience and numnus Hope you recover well
usually before the operation they will be given numbing medicine and sleeping medicine by inserting a rubber tube into the throat..., after the surgery is over the patient will feel dry in the throat and the limbs will be numb, especially the hands or feet near the place where they were numbed before the operation... it is hoped to do a lot of movement of the numb hand and avoid heavy movement on the operated limb....the numbness usually takes 2-3 days according to the strength of the patient's muscles....only if there is excessive swelling or numbness that is necessary seek immediate treatment from doctor...hope you get well soon...take care of yourself from acik81(malaysian)...bye

You really did document your hospital experience during your spinal injury...🫨 And you even noted that there’s a part 2? 🫨 🥲 I was hoping the doctor would tell you the cause of the injury and a few ideas on how to avoid it. I am guessing that a professional on sports medicine might be able to elaborate more information on that. Kudos for not busting a vein during the IV insertion (intravenous cannulation). I saw from your reaction that it hurts, I guess I was expecting that. I hope you didn't suffer a backflow while moving your hand and arm.😐 Thankfully you have great travel insurance coverage. Let's look forward to healing and recovery. 🫰🏻🫶🏻

By right u're not supposed to film within the hospital premise. Since they know u're a youtuber, they didn't stop you because your filming is helping to promote their hospital. What you are experiencing is neuropraxia, mild nerve injury which will subside by itself when time passes. Like what ur doctor said, it's compressed by your muscles when u were in prone position, in government hospital the doctor wouldn't even order the MRI in your condition because the numbness will sure disappear.
The best hospital in malaysia Gleneagles Hospital Kuala Lumpur. Prince Hospital is not even top 5 lol. Even General Hospital over thrown it lol. Makes me proud of Prince Court. Hope I could send my family there one day if we need to. It's quite expensive though. But great experience.
3 attempts to insert the needle is still ok. Mine was 8 attempts. I think after a couple of unsuccessful attempts, they were supposed to get another person to do it, so i had a junior nurse, a doctor & finally a senior nurse managed to get the needle in.
You nailed it! It’s felt like a hotel, rather than a hospital 💯
Nothing will stop him! 🙌😎
Man, knowing your situation, I would say “nothing will stop US” 😅👍🏽 Get well soon, brother 🤝
New viewer here. Hi 👋 👋
So glad you are healthy again. Looking forward for more malaysia videos 😊😊
Hello, you’re welcome here, thanks for watching 👍🏽
I saw your latest video with 80k USD for spinal treatment. It was indeed a good decision that you got a super Insurance Coverage. I'm surprised hat you and your mum have a great command of English. And your mum seems to have an American accent. It is good that you have recovered. May 2025 be better for you.
Hi! My mom doesn’t speak English - this is an AI translation, not my and her voice :) thanks for the wish ❤️
Malaysia is the right place for your treatment in SEA...GET WELL SOON BRO...

As a Malaysian, I am very proud of our medical system - both public and private. Our doctors and nurses are good. Meanwhile, the Russian Embassy is not far from Princecourt Hospital and I learned some Russian there too!
Wow, I didn’t know that 😅
Welcome to Malaysia 🇲🇾 broth.. spasibo 🤝
Thanks, brother, terima kasih 🤝🇲🇾
Bisa minum air is Indonesian version. In Malay bahasa it would be " Boleh minum air?" "Bisa(INA)=Boleh(MAS)" Nevermind, it is still understandable no worries. Anyway... speedy recovery and enjoy our Malaysia hospitality❤
Thank you so much, I’ll try to learn more words next time :)
Boleh minum air 🤔
Boleh makan roti
Correct?)
Terima kasih!)
Hi Roman ... hope the rehab goes ok 🙂.. fantastic 'hotel' I mean hospital 😁.. take care.. Hermi & Ian, Indonesia

Bro, so blessed to have that insurance and that amazing hospital. Wishing you a healthy full recovery my friend.
What did you do before you decided to travel full time?
Thanks, brother, I appreciate that 👍🏽
About my business - in a nutshell - I'm a consultant in managing catering (dining) establishments, and I still do that now.

@Roman_onboard you're welcome 💙
I had a major reconstruction required during MCO period i ended up doing it overseas in Australia however I was in Malaysia working for two years with experience and numnus
Hope you recover well
Thank you 👍🏽
usually before the operation they will be given numbing medicine and sleeping medicine by inserting a rubber tube into the throat..., after the surgery is over the patient will feel dry in the throat and the limbs will be numb, especially the hands or feet near the place where they were numbed before the operation... it is hoped to do a lot of movement of the numb hand and avoid heavy movement on the operated limb....the numbness usually takes 2-3 days according to the strength of the patient's muscles....only if there is excessive swelling or numbness that is necessary seek immediate treatment from doctor...hope you get well soon...take care of yourself from acik81(malaysian)...bye
Mohammad, I appreciate the detailed explanation 🤝
Wishing you a speedy recovery! But what causes the pain??
Hey, thank you for the wish! 🫶🏼
This problem is cumulative, it does not happen because of one event. There are so many factors, including genetic factor, and this one is the main contributor. On my mom's side of the family, all my relatives had arthritis. So I was always at risk, and the problem with my spine and discs had been accumulating for years ⏳
There’s no specific actions that I should do or not do (except for obvious ones like lifting weights with wrong technique)
Technically Ur staying at 6 star rate hospital..😅
The most expensive hospital in Mallaysia...
But yahh...they r one of the best hospital in KL
Lucky me!)
You really did document your hospital experience during your spinal injury...🫨
And you even noted that there’s a part 2? 🫨 🥲
I was hoping the doctor would tell you the cause of the injury and a few ideas on how to avoid it. I am guessing that a professional on sports medicine might be able to elaborate more information on that.
Kudos for not busting a vein during the IV insertion (intravenous cannulation). I saw from your reaction that it hurts, I guess I was expecting that. I hope you didn't suffer a backflow while moving your hand and arm.😐
Thankfully you have great travel insurance coverage.
Let's look forward to healing and recovery. 🫰🏻🫶🏻
Hey! Thank you!)
As for the cause.

@Roman_onboard I forgot to mention that you deserve credit for powering through such an ordeal. Your positive and cheerful personality shone through. 🫶🏻💪🏻🏆
Btw, Lunar New Year (Chinese New Year) is on 29th January this year. Some activities might be interesting and colorful.
I’m flying off KL tomorrow)
By right u're not supposed to film within the hospital premise. Since they know u're a youtuber, they didn't stop you because your filming is helping to promote their hospital. What you are experiencing is neuropraxia, mild nerve injury which will subside by itself when time passes. Like what ur doctor said, it's compressed by your muscles when u were in prone position, in government hospital the doctor wouldn't even order the MRI in your condition because the numbness will sure disappear.
Thanks for clarifications 👍🏽
i wish you all well
Thanks, brother 🤝
The best hospital in malaysia Gleneagles Hospital Kuala Lumpur. Prince Hospital is not even top 5 lol. Even General Hospital over thrown it lol. I feel sorry for the insurance company lol Well food is good. Remember guys If you ever want to visit hospital here and you have insurance, go for gleneagles hotel.
As long as you have insurance or cash , no problem.
Semoga cepat sembuh
Terima kasih 🤝
I feel happy to see you walk out from the hospital.
But after read a lot of comments. You going back to malaysia for a second surgery. So sad. I Hope erything's gonna be okay.
Just want to share my story. I had a broken and dislocation ankle last year. In my place, medan, indonesia. The ankle surgery fail to fix my ankle. So i go to penang malaysia. Penang is near george town. So right now i'm on recovery. But doctor said it will takes a long time. Maybe a year or two.
Oh, year or too is quite a lot… I hope you will fully recover. Take care 👍🏽
Get well soon. Lord God Jesus Bless you
Thank you, Danny 🤝
I came from an Indonesian TH-camrs channel and found your experience video of Prince Court Hospital. I'm glad you recovered quite quickly.
Hope your arms are okay now. Thank you for sharing. Makes me proud of Prince Court. Hope I could send my family there one day if we need to.
It's quite expensive though. But great experience.
Hey, thank you for coming here 👍🏽❤️
Just get medical insurance cover in overseas hospital for precaution & second opinion.
3 attempts to insert the needle is still ok. Mine was 8 attempts. I think after a couple of unsuccessful attempts, they were supposed to get another person to do it, so i had a junior nurse, a doctor & finally a senior nurse managed to get the needle in. Somehow during surgery the vein was probably blocked & when i woke up the needle was in a different position 😂🤣
So, maybe there was one more attempt to put the needle while you’re sleeping 🤔 It was the final boss 😅👍🏽
you are so lucky to get that amazing hospitality, wish you all the best for the rest of journey
Thank you, brother 🤝
Your nerve trigger you laughed 😂
Haha, you nailed it 😅👍🏽
