This fire pit is one of a few covered pits that is on the list th-cam.com/users/postUgkxAU9pOCSV9Y5JprooHvfxTpOrt4hx8uRM of approved products for Disney Fort Wilderness. The product served its purpose well and provided excellent fires throughout the evening. We were able to open the door and do s'mores, but I had to be careful because the handle was a bit hot on occasions. Additionally, I wish they had replaced some of the standard nuts with lock nuts in some places. We lost the door handle after just a couple of days of usage. Not a deal breaker, just a recommendation. I still give it 5 stars.
The bunny plasters are definitely a sign of your improvement on log-burner installation, Philipp. I think you nearly lost a limb or two before. The glowing smile on your face at the end was when we were all enjoying your satisfaction and success with you. I knew Anna's course was going to be a success, she has such a winning smile and lots of talent - and yes, could we have the preview videos on YT please.
Dear Philipp, you often remind me of the (very) old days when i was a theatre carpenter. You embody so many of our shop mottoes: "If it doesn't fit, force it" "Brute force and ignorance" "If you can't fix it with duct tape, it ain't worth fixing." Bon Courage, mon ami! 😂 P.S. THE SEWING SCISSORS ! 😲
“Perfect…almost perfect….perfect enough.” My new life motto! Thanks! Installing stoves and inspiring your followers, Phillip. (An influencer’s) job well done!
I never thought installing a wood burner could be such a nail biting experience.... every so often I'd think... it's just not going to happen.... is anything going to go right with this project?....and then.... success!!!!!!!! whew! No wonder you played a spaghetti western theme at the beginning.
How can we not just love our ZIGGY. He seems to get himself into all your videos. He is truly precious. What a wonderful family dog you have. He’s so happy and Ziggified. Many happy warm moments with your new stove.🥰
So my comments for this video are: - you two remind me so much of my parents, not just because they too are a British and Italian couple, but especially Anna with her confusion and concern regarding Phillip's carrying the heavy burner and risking his back - I really shared the frustration when screwing the T piece to the burner - the "they/them" joke about the pipe was chef's kiss (as an enby myself)
🤣🤣🤣Ah yes... my wife always appreciates it when I clean the high temperature caulk off her best fabric shears with coarse sandpaper. They look so nice and bright afterwards...and I assure her the cutting edges are also much-improved... no longer so dangerously sharp... much better for digging in the garden and cutting things like wet oatmeal.
The simple pleasure of starting a fire after step by-step hooking up the stove. Wonderful, Phillip you have such a warmth to you which makes you very funny even though your sense of humour is dry and witty..
Most definitely yes to the mini series on TH-cam. Phillip, you outdid yourself in this video. I always laugh when I watch your videos, but this one was especially humorous. I have an idea. Since you don’t read the instructions anyway, use them to help start the next fire.
Phillip, You sir are a riot to watch! I cannot tell you how many times I too have lost my cool while working on the wood stove in my home. You will obviously need a high quality Fesstool vacuum to clean it in the future, Just saying.... Best, Brian
Phillip I think you are the king of patient! Did I spell that right? So many obstacles popped up while you were installing that stove, but you stay focused, make some clever jokes and get the job done. How many of those have you done? And to Anna, yes please post your mini series on TH-cam! Wonderful video, thank you Anna and Phillip!
Phillip, you are so funny. Really enjoy your sense of humor. As far as DIY, don't be so hard on yourself. Unless your name is Dick Strawbridge, you're bound to have struggles with any project. We're pulling for you! Hopefully you someday get credit for your talents and handsomeness, which increases with each year (though you are quite young).
The amazing Sophie Paterson has done a dining room project with a similar wall colour (not as rich/orange), but a very similar room, and she used mahogany furniture. Always good to see other designers ideas etc.
@@HowToRenovateAChateau th-cam.com/video/PNWqf5YyCS8/w-d-xo.html Again not orange walls but brown ish wallpaper. Of course they had unlimited budget which always help. Good luck!
My gosh, it is a miracle you weren't injured more as I know how heavy they are. We installed a Lopi Evergreen. I mean we had it installed. It was extremely hard to properly size to fit our old chimney. I'm actually throwing in logs all the time, right now. Heats well. Anna, I imagine your course is finished but I would have enjoyed it. Took advertising design, way back in 1976 at FIT in NYC. But my bestie took print design and the artistry I missed with advertising courses. She, too, did many botanicals. Love yours!.
I would be interested in seeing a bit of the workshop. I don’t have any project so won’t try the actual workshop but love to watch any arts and crafts being done. Thanks! Philip did very impressive work on this log burner installation. It seemed a lot easier than the one two years ago but then he is much more skilled now!
A master class on how not to install a log burner....haha. The laughter (knowing there was no injuries) began as soon as Phillip and the delivery driver began unloading without the use of the trollies later employed to move the log burner inside. Things really got interesting when Phillip began to unnecessarily disassemble then entire log burner to remove flu pipe baffle (aka damper). Nevertheless I was well entertained. Perhaps viewing install videos is the way forward for future installs......you know given the fire and exhaust gas leak risks. Okay Phillip, I kid. You got there in the end as you always do. Sure Phillip could have easily deleted this footage and destroyed his camera to ensure nobody ever saw this footage. However a man of this caliber, with his extreme non-toxic masculinity, influencer stardom status mortals could only dare to dream of, and DIY extraordinaire, is so confident in his abilities he rightfully refuses to give into the notion that there is a singular way to install a log burner. Millions of men, myself included, can only dream of possessing Phillip's confidence and skillset. Bravo Phillip. Bravo! Side note: many install the flu pipes incorrectly with the male ends up. Not Phillip! He knew the exact orientation; and the reasoning for this orientation. We'll done lad! Cheers!
Quite right about the flue pipe connections ... it is to allow the tar to run down inside and not seep out the joints. I'm surprised there isn't a register plate in the chimney with the coupler coming through .. IIRC France is quite strict about open fires and woodburners
I love that you guys only have a Toyota (as far as I know). Some other Château owners ask for donations for very costly renovations and then drive around in Mercedes and Teslas, that’s partly why I follow you. (I know that you partially rely on advertising, but it isn’t onerous) I also love that you both are down to earth, and not pretentious.
Yes to posting the mini series on TH-cam! If someone doesn’t want to watch, they don’t have to!
We would love to see your mini series! 🥰😍

I vote to have the mini series on YT. I love watching other people at their craft.
I am a big fan of Phillip. He is so capable and has a great sense of humor.
Based on most of the comments, I think about 90% of their subscribers share your adoration, myself included. 😂
Philip is the sort of man all women want. Alas, they are few and far apart - and most often married to a fortunate lady.
The look on Phillip's face at the end was priceless. 😊
he earned that, I could hardly watch him maneuvering that heavy stove, much heavier than the tree that put his back out.
Yes, he looked like a kid when the Christmas Tree lights go on for the first time.
I wish someone would look at me like that.😊
Right ❤
Aww, the look on Phillip's face when he lit that fire. Well done!! Hope you, enjoy!!!
They them pipe! 🎉🎉🎉
Yes to the mini series on your channel. The wood burner is lovely. Philip is able to do everything with or without instructions. You guys are great!

Is it just me or does Ziggy always look worried for Philip?
Dogs are very wise
So does Benoit. Lol
That made me laugh! It really does. Ziggy is so sweet and cute!!! Perfect for the family. 💕
