The word Karma is being put out there to desensitize people from what is happening right in front of our eyes. They literally took this woman’s entire life from her while we all watched, her marriage, her show, her wealth and even her own name!! We are being manipulated and conditioned to believe that what happened to Wendy Williams is ALL her fault and not by design and once that happens NO ONE is safe, we will sit by and watch them destroy anyone and their legacy and blame the person that is being destroyed 😢 please pray for Wendy 🙏🏽

Exactly. The same people trying to get on their high horse about Wendy be the same people who be in the comment section all over social media and gossip blogs doing the same thing Wendy was doing. And they not even getting paid to do it. They're doing it for no reason.

Also... they were watching. We only got the WW Show around 2015 or somewhere thereabouts, so my knowledge of her was much shorter than most, but she got me thru my mental breakdown and allowed me to escape my trauma at the time. There is nothing I miss more in pop culture, than, 'How you doi...? 🐾' because it became my entry phrase to this day. But to get back from my reminiscing, my point is that at some point I stopped watching her because life happened and I moved on. I would never now come back and go, "THIS IS HER KARMA!!!" as if I wasn't watching

Thank you for this. My Mom suffered from the same diagnosis, and it was horrible. She was the sweetest person and my superhero. This disease made her combative and emotional. This situation is really heavy for me as well…my mom also has early onset dementia. It’s scary because it came out of nowhere. Just a few mins into the documentary and I have sooo many thoughts…just watching the people around her talking to her and expecting her to respond and act the same person like they don’t realize what’s going on is frustrating. My mom’s symptoms include a lot of delusions, irritability, and anger. She can get very mean and yells and curses. I try to educate ppl as much as I can to try to protect her because ignorant people who don’t understand what’s going on can be very judgmental. Years into my mom’s diagnosis and some of family have just now gotten the reality of the situation. I could talk about this all day, so I’ll end it here lol.

Once I healed from my CSA and DV trauma, I learned to moderate EVERYTHING in my life to keep me balanced. I don’t think Wendy ever healed from her a$$ault OR her tumultuous relationship with her father, so she chose medication over moderation.

I listen to a podcast by an Indian and Pakistani friend group, and they broke down how Americans and westerners have bastardized what "Karma" means. So I am a black woman who is a medical student and I wanted to say that Wendy Williams has Frontotemporal dementia, meaning her frontal lobe (which is in charge of your higher order thinking and personality) as well as her temporal lobe (behavioral, memory, recognition) are deteriorating first, this is why she might demonstrate behavior that is outside of the norm for her, the odd thing about this dementia is that it happens to people relatively young than other dementias, specifically in their 50s and early 60s maybe even younger. As for alcohol, I was taught alcohol can “pickle” your cerebellum, which is in charge of your motor coordination and balance, overtime, and that people who have used excessive alcohol all their life have increased gaps in their brain (we call sulci), ofc the pictures we’ve seen is like people who drink 40s everyday but nonetheless, I agree with you Justin, alcohol, if taken should be in moderation or not at all (ofc up to the person)

    • @ashleyh703
      @ashleyh703 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Anyways we are also taught, if you are biologically female you have less body water and so you’re healthy standard would be one drink a day, a drink being mm a shot of liquor, a 6 ounce beer or a glass of wine, for people who are biologically male it’s 2 drinks, and then I want to know for people who express differing biology then the binary how it affects them but anyways ya just so y’all know. Also alcohol does irritate the stomach lining and intestines, it just does, it also weakens your esophageal spinchter or esophageal opening rather so could cause acid reflux too

The blaming is ableist, but also I think it's a way ppl deal with the fear and discomfort of the impermanence of everything. I think ppl think: because Wendy wasn't the kindest to others, drank & did drugs, she developed dementia; if I/ my loved ones abstain from talking ish, drinking excessively, and doing drugs, I/we won't develop dementia. It's a way to seek control in a situation where we don't have that much control.
It's always so jarring for me when I'm reminded that our personalities aren't stable at all, and can shift drastically from illness, a injury, etc. Interestingly, we accept the impermanence of our personalities when we think about growing up... (e.g. when I was young I was so xyz versus as an adult I'm xyz). However sitting with changes as we get to later stages in life feels so much more difficult.
    Great video!

If it’s karma then why hasn’t it happened to all the yt ladies that have done and said much worse than Wendy to stay relevant. Wendy is an icon and trailblazer on the level of the greats like Barbara Walter’s. She did what she did unapologetically and if you followed her you know about all the great things she did and how big her heart is

The way people talk about addiction was evident to me whenever i was online after a new episode of Euphoria. I personally watched the first season and didnt rly care for it but as time went on and the second season came out the more people talked about the show and addiction the more i realized the lack of empathy and how judgemental, hypocrtical people are.

Stop drinking mixed drinks at restaurants, bars, and clubs. The owners are refilling top-shelf liquor bottles with bottom shelf liquor, and it's making customers sick. Even bottle service is a scam in ATL.

Overall whats happening to wendy and her son is very sad. I empathize with her son cause if my mom was sick and i couldnt spend what could be her last days with her because of well greed. Her physical gaurdians are greedy id be pissed. I can empathize with the whole situation however it doesnt change to me that in her good health she was a nasty piece of work. I feel the same when rappers die. I dont erase how i feel about ppl just because something bad happened to them

This is a time where Wendy NEEDS love and patience. She’s going to need someone who loves Jesus and walks in a manner that is an example of him to a world that’s watching. Because if Wendy is facing a terrible test of her life and potential end, then the most important thing in her life is experience forgiveness for her life’s work….and she can experience that at the foot of the cross.
I really hope she can come to see the harm her lifestyle, and really her show did to a lot of people. There are six things the lord hates and seven that are an abomination to him:
”There are six things that the Lord hates, seven that are an abomination to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, a false witness who breathes out lies, and one who sows discord among brothers.“
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭6‬:‭16‬-‭19‬ ‭
I hope she comes to see the damage her show did to a lot of people, and further influenced an already problematic culture of celebrity gossip.

    COME THRU, JARED!!
I really do feel--along with Meg--that your voice is needed in this season, regarding navigating and negotiating mental health challenges and needs: especially for African-Americans living on this hostile land. How you made the bodily functions connection was good too--got into them guts and everything (Pause).
I strongly feel that Americans are grappling with shortfalls in the way they define things like deservedness and the correlation or even equation between someone they see that has, "Secured the Bag", and them ACTUALLY being level and WELL!!America's brand of Capitalism has a dehumanizing effect in several manifestations but, in particular, I have observed it in a CALLOUSNESS that forms in the way we assign value to persons; in this regard, it can very much be a corrupting agent to one's Soul.
We must never lose empathy, and there is clearly a much higher bar for deeming someone ineligable for empathy, or even just sympathy, than many thought and some still think.

My step-father has stroke induced aphasia of the frontal lobe and it has been challenging. People are cruel to him for not being able to articulate and his emotional outbursts (as if it couldn't happen to any of us)
I pray Wendy will be surrounded by people who are truly for her and her overall wellbeing.

No for real, it took me having an alcohol addiction -> getting over my alcohol addiction to realize how bad alcoholism is here in America. How intensely promoted it is, how you're made to feel like the odd one out for choosing NOT to drink. We truly live in a bizarre world.
When you consider how often people choose to run away from their problems instead of running to find a solution to aid them, I think it helps trying to comprehend these bizarre realities lol.

Kevin is not responsible for her downfall. If she knew he cheated on her from the beginning, during and at the end of marriage and she still stayed then he’s not responsible. Also Karma at least how it’s practiced in India doesn’t work as tit for tat or reap what you sow.

Not karma. I just want people to stop pretending like the criticism and indifference to her health condition aren’t warranted. She chose to use her journalistic abilities to kick folks while their down.
And praising her as the pioneer of the media landscape we have now isn’t a flex considering the effects of Charlamagne, wannabe-Charlamagnes, podcasts, and blogs that favor mess over actual journalism.

All the fans blaming her husband but most of her inner circle including her family admit her husband was the main person that helped hold her together all those years. I read Wendy autobiography years ago and she wrote that he been cheating on her off and on for years and she knew it from the begining. Now she wants to act offended by the cheating. Wendy lived a wild lifestyle for years.

Chile, my fiancé and I live with his brother and his brothers wife. One of the reasons I want to move and we are moving is because I can’t deal with the weed anymore. They, but especially his brother smoke multiple times a day AND EVERY SINGLE DAY. And they think it’s normal. Add to the fact that their relationship is codependent and toxic, even when they’re “good” they’re toxic. Because all they do for the most part is stay home and get high. Like bruh….that’s just a sad existence. And when they’re sober they’re definitely moody. Until they smoke then they’re laughing like hyenas. It’s trippy to watch and I just can’t be around it. My fiancé and I are the complete opposite. We love wine but even that we have cut down on to just focus on our health more, but sober or tipsy we’re consistent in the fact that our relationship is healthy and stable.
