There is no basil or mint in our fantastic Grie Soß! The sort of herbs for it are strictly defined as borage, chervil, cress, parsley, burnet, sorrel and chive. Only with this herbs (most suitable they are harvested in Frankfurt Oberrad) you got the real Frankfurter Grie Soß. Yes, we are a little bit pedantic with this sauce :-)

Hey Die Minna, thank you so much for communicating ! I always wish to be as accurate as possible in my flavour profiling & it can be tough that’s for sure. It’s great that you can confirm that it was indeed the ‘real deal’ as it’s flavour will forever be in my positive memories. With such a delight, I would also be pedantic & full of pride too.

Ask in german Restaurants for recommendations from the waiter or for seasonal specials.
German food is pretty seasonal and you'll get in Winter different specialities than in summer

The Frankfurter green sauce is made of 7 herbs. And there's no better sauce for a Schnitzel, right? I also love it, though I'm not a native Frankfurter :D. Okay, I'm a German guy :-) So cool to see that you love our traditional food! Me, I love the No. 1 traditional English food as well: Fish and chips! And only the Britains know how to prepare it the best way!

Hey Mathew, I love this sauce - it makes all the difference ! Thank you fir watching my video & taking the time to comment. I’m glad my genuine food love came through. Fish & chips done the traditional way is awesome ! You should take a look at my very first video on here - it is, would you believe it or not, about Fish & Chips. You may enjoy it even.

@@hungrybellys4864 I indeed enjoyed your very first video - got so hungry after one minute of watching :-) There once was a bar or pub in the town where I live, in the South-West of Germany at the French-German boarder, named Baker Street. It's closed meanwhile, unfortunately. I loved this place! It was furnished the Victorian style with a large wooden bar and huge sofas in green leather. The waiters and waitresses wore old-fashioned traditional English wardrobe. And they served traditional English meals - such as fish & chips. It tasted sooo gooood!

Das Schnitzel und der Schweinebauch sahen soooooo lecker aus, dass ich als Trost gerade ein Schnitzel im Restaurant neben an bestellt habe. 😋
The Schnitzel and the pork belly look soooooo yummy that I just ordered a Schnitzel from the nearby restaurant, as I won't be able to go to Frankfurt in the near future.😋

I’m so happy to see that you were inspired to order similar - that’s my dream goal & I hope I get to continue moving forward. Thank you for taking the time to watch this video & especially for replying such lovely comments.

The Frankfurt green sauce is really awesome, I always thought it was gonna be a bit tasteless till I actually tried it myself. Great to see these videos now as Germany is back to lockdown and all the restaurants are closed 😒. You should review the hottest chip in the world 😜, as I saw one of the other blogger doing it and was fun ( a great video during lock down 😂) It’s called the paque hot chip I guess.

Thank you for taking the time to watch my video ! I’m completely with you - that sauce is fantastic !
The hottest chip in the world.... that sounds dangerous 🥴
I’ll see what I can do - thank you so much for the recommendation I will try my upmost.

Hahah you wanted to eat the table? How hungry were you? A light beer with yummy table hehe 🙃 That Pork Belly looked unreal! Did you have two main courses one after the other?

    • @hungrybellys4864
      @hungrybellys4864  4 ปีที่แล้ว

Hey, I was mighty hungry indeed. If that amazing food didn’t arrive so fast, that table was going to be washed down with that light beer ! For my hungrybellys, I’d gladly sacrifice more main courses & yes they were one after the other lol ! The pork belly was truly amazing - I’m glad to see you liked it too.

i personally think schnitzel and green sauce are great, but not together! green sauce with boiled eggs and potatos is great.

ehm, a light correction: Light beer in germany is alcohol reduced beer, not the calory reduced lite beer wich makes up 40% of the us market.
what you were drinking would be a pilsener or lager.
the alcohol reduced light beer is more or less only sold in stadiums, calory reduced / diet beer is comparably rare.

Hey Zhufor, thank you for watching my video & playing close attention. In making these I always wonder if the audience will actually hear me properly. Especially with the background or at times how I mumble my way through sentences lol. It’s fantastic to hear such cultural differences & I really appreciate your feedback. I will absolutely remember this in my next visit & videos on such moving forward.
