Hi Ahsan,
I am using trade republic for investment since last year after watching your videos. I have little confusion. In order to see my position for each stock or etf individually I check “your position” option and for profit it shows good amount in euros. But when I check the portfolio it shows very less amount of profit. Why is it so ?
Another question: does the portfolio also incorporate the money we have spent buying stock or etf ? Or we we have to do the calculation for that on our own ? Like if I want to sell I should calculate how much euro I spent buying it so I don’t end up in loss ? Your guidance is much appreciated. Thanks
Hi there,
If you go to the specific stock/ETF, under your position you get "Total , Return , Gain" . Total means the amount you have invested and the growth. Return is profit in percentage and Gain is profit in terms of Euro.
When you check in portfolio it shows you the overall invested amount. This includes all the money you have spent to buy the Stocks/ETFs, plus any unrealized gains and unrealized losses.
Hope this answers your questions.
Thank you Ahsan for the detailed answer. If I have understood correctly does it mean that the portfolio performance either loss or gain (in euros and in percentage) is an overall /average of all the money I have spent so far (including buying fee) on stocks/ETFs? Or it does not include the buying fee that is charged by trade republic ?
It includes all the fees. Including the 1€/ transaction cost from Trade Republic if you buy without setting up a savings plan
@@ahsanfinance Thank you Ahsan for the explanation now making a lot of sense. I would also recommend you to make a video specifically on Trade Republic that how it works and what does all the features mean etc because there might be many beginners who would be struggling to understand that how every thing works in TR
I already have a tutorial like this here: th-cam.com/video/gre4Tqs4SJY/w-d-xo.html , but since TR updated their app this week, I will be making an updated video soon.
Which software you used for video editor ?
I use Premier Pro
How to invest in Interest-free (non-riba) stocks. How can we invest in shariah compliant stocks
One way could be to look into MSCI sharia compliance. If you are satisfied with how they calculate things. Then you can invest in MSCI ISLAMIC ETFs or the companies involved in the ETFs.
