Meanwhile hetero romcoms and hetero relationships are everywhere in the media. The fact this show had a 3 season long relationship, that ended in a marriage, and just so happened to involve 2 guys, makes my heart happy.

He wrote the show and he did an amazing job.

It is so obvious how much both Patrick and Ted love their Roses. They both have the same way of dealing with David and Alexis's quirks. The gentle, amused, patient exasperation they show when other people would probably just get angry and frustrated. That's true love.
This made me cry, it brought up feelings I'd forgot about. David's expressions, movements and emotions were so true. I'm a 70 years old widow and this brought back memories and the realization that I will probably never feel these emotions again, not in the way they felt years ago, too much water has gone under the bridge. Thank you, I'm glad I saw this.
I'm sorry you were saddened and I can't imagine what you're going through. For what it's worth I think the show is partly about how when you're mourning the wonderful life you've had you might still be fortunate enough to discover some lovely, unexpected things in the schit life you have. I've probably watched this scene (okay, EVERY David/Patrick scene, but this one for sure) at least 25 times, and haven't stopped laugh-crying yet. There's such real, complex human emotion underneath the cuteness and humor -- which is true of all of Schitt's Creek, and why I'm fangirling so hard (fanwomaning. sorry.). Berk - Same. I hadn’t seen the show until two weeks ago, and binged through all 5 seasons. This particular episode shook me to my core for days, reminding me of what I’m hoping to find some day and the positive moments in a past relationship. The love acted out by these two is simply brilliant.

Why am I not bored watching this over n over?!! These two are simply amazing...Patrick's smile and "unbelievable".... Gawd!! This is Love!! And when the video ends with Patrick's arms in the air.... I could have cried.
My favorite moment of the ENTITE series - the way he commits to it reminds me so much of my lovely man, it just makes my heart melt! David is my spirit animal in this moment.
