😂😂😂😂😂😂 Oh fu(!< yea Chandler. Put it in there. Your so big. 😂😂😂😂😂😂 I want that as my ringtone lol. Pleeeaassseeee do the next one asap guys. You have no idea what's coming.
The metaphor of Saul being unable to get the parking validation stickers as a way to show him struggling to "stick" by the rules. This episode he tells Chuck that he's determined to be good and in the same episode you see him actually getting the stickers that Mike requires when in the previous eps you see him trying to get around the parking rules the same way he's trying to make it big as a lawyer through questionable means
If you watch behind the scenes stuff, Michael McKean did about as much research as you could expect an actor to do reading about this condition and the people who have had it so he could act the part. Just one element of how stellar this show is and the work that was put into it. There's some dialog in the hospital scene here that will tie in later on in the plot too where you can look back and be like "Yea, they discussed that even."
It's a good observation you have about Mike with a bat and not a gun. Just like with Saul/Jimmy trying to turn over a new leaf in this show, Mike makes it a point to not kill. So it's interesting to see how he goes from that to what he is in BB, blowing a guy's head off without a second thought.
@@chronic1621bruh they already 10 episodes or 5 ahead when youtube is uplaoded. I would be a patreon but i have not even a single payment they accept. If you see Season 1 episode 1 here they are already at season 2 or nearly.
The figurines are collectables, they are actually worth something. Not maybe *that* much, but still. :-) The show/lawyer that Jimmy is copying is Matlock. Famously popular with the elderly population at the time.
One thing I appreciate in Better Call Saul more than I did in Breaking Bad is the humor/comedy, it makes the heavy moments even more impactful. Granted I'm only on S2 right now, so the tone might go way darker in later seasons but I think so far they do a good job of balancing the drama and tension with the comedic aspects of the show.
@methodhardie9193 It does but I don't think the comedic tone is as pronounced as it is in this show, that may have something to do with how different Walt and Saul's personalities are and I think it works better here because you have Saul as the MC
I think Jimmy knew almost from the outset that Chuck's condition was mental. In episode 2 you see him harangue Chuck into taking off the space blanket after Chuck saw the medical bill for the Skater Bros. He's already picked up that Chuck's condition gets worse when he thinks Jimmy is "slipping". But he'll only doubt and criticize Chuck in private. In public, he's fiercely loyal to Chuck and backs him up 100%.
I really would have liked it if they had somehow incorporated Jimmy's impact on the nursing homes to have snowballed into affecting Hector Salamanca in some way down the line. It's a shame
Sadly, the start of the episode isn't an inaccurate representation of policing in America. As ridiculous as it is, there are police officers out there who think they can do what those officers did. In reality they trampled Chuck's rights by entering his home without a warrant. On top of that they immediately tased him for no reason. If they really wanted to pursue the theft of newspaper charge, they could have sent him a summons or submitted for a warrant. They're not allowed to enter his home without a warrant unless there are "exigent circumstances," a situation so urgent that they can't wait for a warrant, which didn't exist here. In a just world, they'd be fired and facing serious felonies as armed home invaders. In the real world, they probably get a short suspension and more training at worst.
They also would not have been allowed to go around looking in windows like they did. If there were evidence of a crime, it would easily have been excluded.
yeah I know you guys have it very rough out there, have visited Florida and I heard some insane things , especially from people of color, which I thought before was a myth, also I was shocked how trespassing is taken so seriously, if you go to someones territory you can literally get shot, I live in northern europe and here our officers dont even use guns that often only if a person they are confornting has a gun aswell and tresspassing isnt a big deal at all, yes it is in the sense that you cant just walk into someones home but you can totally be on others land
You might have missed the part where there were "exigent circumstances" in rush to make a speech. Strange behavior of the subject, the police received a call of a man, covered in a silver blanket, stealing a newspaper. His erratic mumbling to the cops when they arrive and refuses to open the door, causing the police to check the back and seeing ripped out power lines, flammable containers of kerosine and a big mess all spotted through the back door window. It may all be fiction, but well thought out fiction and the police acted correctly to an immediate danger... a lunatic with kerosine.
@@ndogg20 Those are not exigent circumstances. He was not mumbling, for one thing, and nothing he said provided probable cause to enter the curtilage and trespass around the back. You do not have to open the door to someone investigating a stolen newspaper. A stolen newspaper is not enough to go around the back on look in the windows. A decent lawyer would get the whole thing tossed. Chuck himself mentioned that they had no probable cause. They weren't even saying they were worried about his well-being; they were saying they thought he was a tweaker. At most that would be enough to get a warrant, not to break in.
@ndogg20 I didn't miss anything. He wasn't incoherent. They just rolled their eyes at being confronted by someone who actually knew the law. There was nothing that prevented them from attempting to obtain a warrant, especially when Chuck was offering to let them in. Besides that, tasing him in his own home was baseless and egregious.
Glad you guys have cottoned on to the more character driven and comedic evolution of BCS vs BB which has its characters mainly just have hardships and a one way decline and set piece shocks as Walt rises in power and depravity.
It's so weird to hear you guys refer to Jimmy as Saul, because Jimmy feels quite different to Saul we have in Breaking Bad. I hope you'll switch to Jimmy in a couple of episodes :)

you cant be allregic to electricity , its a mental condition and the show represented it soo well, I have social phobia and Im terrified of people, its insane how things like this can totally prevent you living your life
As I said in my comment to your reaction to Episode Four: you two need to keep your wits about you, otherwise you're going to be duped and conned scores of times between now and the end of Season Six. 'Seceed' means to declare your state (or parts of it) independent of the home state, as the US Confederate States did in 1861, leading the US Civil War.
Elder Law? not what we were expecting..

Jimmy is copying a tv lawyer called Matlock, every senior i knew when that show aired was obsessed with it.
Spartan and Pudgey are probably too young to know who Matlock and Andy Griffith is/was!
They need to keep calling him Jimmy, not Saul (yet).
