Those of us who've been lucky enough to recover from the Disease of Addiction can relate for sure. I got clean 17 years ago, & although it took me a couple of tries; once I got serious & turned my life over it stuck . I lost a cousin to an overdose last month, & his brother who found him couldn't even be bothered to attend the funeral b/c he was too busy getting high. He'll be dead soon enough unfortunately, if he doesn't get clean. I pray for him every day.

And that added a extra layer of betrayel because she's was making me wear condoms, making me believe that it was to help clear up some gynecological issue. This guy is next level intellectual and psychologically aware, soaring high above his peers like an Aristotlian albatross. Also, this story was captivating and fascinating from start to finish. I could feel myself fall in love with that woman by proxy just from how he talks about her (in the first part of the story ;D )

This is absolutely one of my favorites. Being a codependent that always wants to help people this hit so close to home. I've listened to this multiple times.
As a therapist, this was one emotional rollercoaster 🎢 and I loved it! He told this story in a way that I didn’t have too much time to scream at him for his poor decisions. It had heart, it was funny, and he found the humor in this F-d up thing we call life. Bravo! I will add that people do change, but they have to want to enough to fight with themselves. Some would prefer to destroy themselves and others rather than fight with their biggest adversary and ally... them.
How have I never heard this man... his delivery was flawless, his joke recall was spectacular, and his jokes are fantastic... incredible clip loved it but I'm sad I'm just now hearing about this man...
