Now if would have a quick disconnect at the bottom so the passenger never knows it's there when they are.
Does this tend to work similarly on the rear bolts of the front seats? I’m hoping to set up something for 2nd row passengers.
Have these been tested to see what happens when the air bags deploy? Is it recommended that a passenger sit in the seat where a mount is installed?
Wish they had more vehicle-specific mounts available. I have an HHR and the only option is to drill holes in the floor which I'm not willing to do. You guys could make a mount that slides in the middle to fit various seat bolt widths.
We do have a universal option that is similar to what you are describing. The feet slide along slotted holes so that you can adapt to different seat bolt widths. Here is a link to it if you're interested; I'd be very interested to know if this could work in the HHR. I could answer any follow up questions you might have to help confirm if this could work:

Are there options for cars such as the Chevy Cruze that don't use seat bolts, but rather seat hooks to hold the seat in place?
I'm looking for one of these for a 2022 transit 150. it's a municipality vehicle and I have a coworker with me, will this work? it looks to be really intrusive to a passenger...

Hello, yes the RAM-VB-195-SW1 should still work as long as the original bucket seat bolts on the passenger side floor are still accessible. The base is designed to offset the pole as close to the center console as possible, so although it is on the passenger side, it is offset towards the center so that a passenger can still sit there, though depending on size of passenger it could be an inconvenience. We do offer quick release options to remove the pole without the base if needed.
Will this work on a Vw passat 2005?
This is awesome. You guys are truly top of the class in this stuff. What would be cool is adding additions to this same mount for other products. That way you can use one mount for an iPad and iPhone. I just bought a 2020 Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro and this is definitely on my list to buy. Does this one work for my vehicle?

Would this be intrusive for passengers in the front seat?
Typically it is not but it could depend on the vehicle. One common obstacle with these mounts is it could limit the seat's ability to adjust forward and back, but otherwise the pole remains offset to be close against the center console, so as not interfere with available leg space for the passenger.
Looks pretty intrusive to me... I would think they could definitely improve on that design
@@RAMMount I was just watching this video and thinking the same thing; the passengers left leg would get banged up on this example install. I've been looking at these for years and I'm about ready to get one. Would you guys be willing to add a custom offset to the base pole as far down as possible if I could get you measurements or a specific vehicle you guys might have laying around? For a fee of course. I know it can be done. I'd rather have it done by you guys though.

The knob directly above the tele-pole should let you adjust the height, but if you have it as low as possible and is still too high, there are different lengths of upper & lower pole components that can be used to modify the system to change the height range.
