46:58 into the oubliette with you! Working exactly as intended lol. Good thing you did Endless Canyon first so you could see the layout of this room and avoid this.
I fully forgot that was there. I still think when you're working in VR it's even EASIER to put in some railings. Just get into unity and pop some assets down guys.
1:07:00 it's funny seeing people not know what to do with the Starlit Cove forbidden knowledge, some people legitimately just think at first that it's a lore explanation for why there are still people in the dream world, not something they can act on. Many of us are so used to avoiding fire that we don't even think about why. Though I once saw someone use the dream world fire to exit and still not know for a while what to do XD
17:32 oh I didn't realize this was where you had gotten stuck. The slide reel shows the bell totem, as well as how to get past it. There's actually two bell totems in the slide reel, since there's two in the upper areas of Starlit Cove, and the slide reel shows how to get past both of them.
what i like is how pretty much right after that timestamp you posted i accurately explain how the bells need light to function and then i forget this fact until 26:45 where i re-learn like it's some massive revelation
24:55 because it needs light to see you. Remember you still look the same to others with or without your artifact. The slide reel shows the inhabitants concealing the light of their artifacts. 26:36 exactly like that :) (Can't tell if you were acting or just forgot)
27:15 and you should have that last ship log now :) it's not a re-created burned structure, it was someone's home or outpost before later being burned. 27:37 a fantastic addition that wasn't in the original release.
This place confused me when recording but in hindsight it's very much so signifies the inhabitants as a whole. So much loss, so much destruction, and yet they still cling to this last little speck of beauty amidst. The Eye of the universe did not offer them anything except a greater appreciation of what they once had, the tragedy is they gave up what they had to seek the Eye. So now all they have is a memory - like a shielded painting preserved in the ruins of a long burnt house fire.
@@ZailsTales Interesting interpretation! The working theory in the community was that this building was used by the missing Inhabitant (the one whose spot is empty in the Cinder Isles tower basement) and that they were the only one to see something more to the vision that made the rest so upset. That something more they saw was depicted in that painting. As for why that person's place was burned, and why their spot is now empty, well, future episodes will cover that...
18:37 it is actually possible, albeit difficult, to use this elevator and a few others. However, it's not intended to do so, and you only get one chance per loop anyway, making it far from ideal. It is interesting to explore their homes though, to see the small areas they spend thousands of years pacing back and forth inside of. Kind of sad.

48:28 WOW! I don't know how you managed to survive that, normally their lunges are final, very nicely done!
I am still absolutely astounded I got through that room on my first try. Thank you.

40:50 indeed, it's intentionally designed to force you to lure them out and circle around them
This is probably as complex as the stealth mechanics get in this game which is probably for the best.

This was honest re-discovery. I remember the being dead thing but I forget you can get past them alive as long as it's dark.

There's a Black Mirror episode in the Stranger inhabitants backstory somewhere.
59:00 it only says the _connection_ between the craft and the Stranger is broken, not the craft itself
