Great tutorial...really good for a beginner and advance player. Maybe you can consider to even the sound of your voice and background music. Background music is louder. Thank you.

Hi yang yang I an immediate player and I am abit confused that which way of weight transfer movement is more suitable for backhand looping while for backhand drive? As it seem ma long backhand also using up and down weight transfer.
Amazing video and can't wait for more! Hope to hear from you soon😎

Hi Yangyang, thanks for the great videos. One question: Your demo looks more similar to the second way of backkand where you move the body up an down. I have noticed that unlike your instruction, your arm does not move from left to right much (horizontal motion). It's almost 95% forward and back and 5% left to right. It looks more like a moving "block". Similar with other players; not much horizontal movement but more vertical motion. Am I right? Which is better?

Your backhand backswing is shallow, good for blocking only. To do backhand attack, or loop, you must have a long, deep backswing, as you do with your forehand attack and loop. To get a full backhand backswing, you swing your arm to the left side of your body, turn your waist at the same time. The further you can swing your arm back, the more power and spin you get. It is hard to do. Very hard. You must have a very flexible body and shoulders and arm and legs first.

This backhand drive technique is correct. If you want the aggressive one, it's called backhand topspin or loop. Or flick if it's over the table.

Thanks for this instructional. I'm really struggling with my backhand drive. My coach says I move my wrist and I should not. The ball tends to go high.

Very good explanation. Two things: 1) When you say "45 to 60 degree angle" or "60 degree angle"... what axis do you mean, what is the reference plane ? The table ? 2) The sound is not good. This makes listening by using the small speakers of handheld device almost unbearable.

Hey Yang Yang, Big Fan from Germany. After watching the WTTC2017 I Saw many players using an aggressive forehand flick, could you do a tutorial on how to do that and what is important in order to set and for the following stroke. Thank you !!

Do you REALLY mean that the racket goes from a more closed position to the less closed position? (3-21 sec, 3-30 sec and during your demonstration). Your videos are really of good teaching quality (except the sound is not clear), but I used to see this
movement passing from “open” position to the “closed”. Thanks in advance and thanks anyway!

In the demonstration you have your elbow in close to your side and your wrist bent not in front of your body and wrist straight when your were showing how to prepare to execute the shot. Just trying to get the right technique
