  • Hey all. A short break between review videos with this crazy heat wave passing through the Midwest. I legitimately have no idea if this motorcycle will see American soil, but I am really hopeful it will so the guys in the lightweight cruiser class have more options to choose from when it comes to picking out the right bike for them.
    I hope you enjoyed the video. If you did, don't forget to subscribe to the channel and leave a like so we can get the video to more people with similar mindsets.

    Pictures that I have seen of the clc450 have shown the bike uses a final belt drive rather than a chain. I feel that would be an advantage for the first time owner, not having to do chain maintenance, everyone would probably like that. I think that i have heard, belt drive is less noisy too.

      Paul, good to see you back! Thanks for tuning in, and thanks for your comment. You’re correct! I just looked at the brochure from the global website and confirmed it is in fact belt drive. Here are some screen grabs for anyone else who is curious. imgur.com/a/AmHgnqk

    In the evaluation of some Chinese players, the CFMOTO 450CLC's cycling quality is superior to REBAL 300/500 and other cruise models of Chinese brands with the same class.

      CF can capture some market share with their 450 platform. Entry level bikes have never been more popular, and this is just another bike that can meet more consumers in another market segment. Come on @CFMOTO USA!!!

      I probably won't do the Benda video since it doesn't apply to my channel and who I want my videos to be shown to, but I appreciate you watching! The Kove 450 Rally looks insane and the reviews are actually better than I expected. It made it through the Dakar rally, which says A LOT about any style adventure bike.

    Down in Mexico I checked the bike and it comes standard with dual abs, 320 mm front disk brake, 37 mm upside down forks (with plastic embelishments that make it look like a traditional fork), 42 nm torque, 40 hp, 27.16 inches seat height. It gave me the feeling that it was ment to strip down the rear seat and ride solo without luggage. It’s so low that honestly it would make an awesome toy. The stance and body position is very very close to that of the Triumph bobber. I’m a very small guy (5’8) and the bike was flying with me, making an awesome exhaust sound while at it.
    Nevertheless I think the lean angle will be very limited becuse of the footpegs but I wasn’t going to take chances in a test drive 🤷🏻‍♂️
    The thing is dirt cheap, I would definitely buy it just for fun.

    • @Omni_Moto
      @Omni_Moto  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey, great write-up! Cool to hear you were able to get on one of these machines. Lean angle isn't something I'd be super worried about with this bike personally. It sounds like everything else you mentioned is on brand for what it's supposed to be though - a Cool Life Cruiser (CLC).
      Thanks for sharing and ride safe! 😎

    I ride a Rebel 500, but this bike honestly looks like it copied homework and vastly improved on it. The Rebel has a bit of a cheaper / "plastic-y" feel, and the stock seats have been awful for years (every Rebel owner replaces it first, usually with a mustang tripper seat). The Seats on these actually look premium. I love the muscular looking tank , it looks broad and mean, the front radiator wraps around the bike and creates a nicer silhouette, vs the rebel with a bit of an awkward box radiator. Looks like forward-mid controls, so probably nicer for us taller guys. Belt driven, so no chain maintenance (but also means that the rear shocks will have quite low travel, as belt doesn't handle slack as well as chains). Overall the engine and design looks super clean, and very masculine. Got to hand it to China, all the CF Motorcycles they've announced look really badass, and they keep on giving, while offering them at a very low price. My only minor criticism is CF Moto, or CL-C just sounds a bit lame compared to "Rebel", "Scout Bobber", "Triumph Bonneville", "Royal Enfield Shotgun". I used to do branding in the past, and that's my only pet peeve... Saying the name just sounds 'cheaper' 😂

    • @Omni_Moto
      @Omni_Moto  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I agree that the name could be better. I think cruiser-style motorcycles in the US just need actual names rather than a mixture of numbers/letters. It's a small detail, but CF should definitely consider doing a rebrand if this bike ever makes it to US soil.
      I think calling it the "CFMOTO Nomad 450" would be a great name, or "CFMOTO Revolt 450". Both are names that inspire adventure, rebellion, and breaking away from daily mundane life.

    Hey, great review and comparison!
    I appreciate your content man, I just have a few questions for the CL-C 450 though. What can you say about the reliability and resale value of the CF Moto as a brand? If I buy the CL-C 450 now and maybe outgrow it in a year or two, then decide to sell it to upgrade. How much value do you think will it retain compared to that of the Honda Rebel 500?
    Much love from The Philippines!

    • @Omni_Moto
      @Omni_Moto  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Reliability and resale are still 2 components of the CFMOTO story we don't truly know yet. I will tell you that I hear that objection a LOT from viewers. If that is your main concern, then maybe a CF isn't for you. If you're willing to take a chance with the new kid on the block though, I don't think you will be disappointed. Will it retain the same amount of value as the Rebel 500? Probably not, but if you aren't super worried about selling it as soon as you buy, then I wouldn't worry about that and I'd focus more so on what the bike has to offer during your ownership.
      Thanks for watching!

    CF will have to come much cheaper to allure American buyers away from the Japanese trusted brands. I sure would break the piggy bank and scrape up the few extra Benjamin's to get the Honda. Americans are convinced already that Chinese bikes are crap from the cheap Chinese scooters.

    • @Omni_Moto
      @Omni_Moto  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's not always about the price point with these bikes. We've seen the 450SS from CFMOTO have great success and it has a price that's nearly dead on for a Ninja 400, but the 450SS brings the fit, finish, and premium options/components that Japanese OEM aren't providing at lower levels of motorcycles.
