Tesla's batteries are quite impressive, I think the missing link is between the battery and the drive train. There has got to be a more efficient means of delivering electric energy to kinetic energy. Battery, engine, transmission, driveshaft, rear end. a few added steps and you could have Tesla's battery lasting as long as a cell phone battery.
We have watches that self charge, a car should have the same capability. Harness the butterfly effect. How much power would a small wind turbine behind the grill produce at speeds of 100km an hour.
