thanks for the vid - that tunnel is really cool. A buddy and me weaseled our way through years ago before it officially opened and have since been through "legally" a number of times. An amazing place. Bring a jacket and a backup light.

I've hiked through that tunnel and biked through it too, many times. I never once felt something paranormal about the tunnel. It was interesting hearing this angle of the history. The true train tragedy happened to the north on Highway 2 on the Iron Goat Trail. An avalanche killed a lot of people on a train there. The old tracks are now a trail and many of the tunnels can still be hiked through if you're brave enough to ignore the safety signs telling you not to. When you get to where the avalanche occurred, you can go over the bank and still find wreckage down there as it was too difficult to retrieve it all.
If you're into the paranormal, take a drive north to Highway 20 and visit the Concrete area. I had a Native American friend who swore that area was very active.

Hi Brian, thanks for watching and your comments! :) Oh my gosh YES, known as one of the most haunted , Iron Goat trail is on my radar and absolutely will be featured in a future video. I first learned about that trail visiting the NW Railway Museum exhibit a few years ago with my Mom and sister. Apparently it has a LOT of reported activity. While I am in the initial phases of research, just planning dates for hiking and filming, I am already itching to go! Hopefully I will have a better night vision options in my gear as it was super difficult to film in the dark. Best! - Jill

Great job Jill! Lots of interesting history here. Makes me want to go visit the tunnel except, as you know, I'm a chicken!

I don't necessarily think the entities are enjoying their solitude if it appears they're asking for help 😅 i wonder what it is they could be helped with or if its just unfortunate trauma echos. Also if you're looking for more paranormal Washington stuff and open to it not being specifically a trail, theres a resident entitiy in Bellingham in Fairhaven known as the woman in green. Shes sad but quite kind and not particularly shy.

Well, most was resonant energy from the past that particular fellow was not. He and I spoke afterward while i was on my bike, headed east bike camping a few weeks later. (I have a soft spot for helping when and where I can). He was worried about some things, things that don't really matter that were hindering him, moving on, but I am hopeful he may have crossed to be with his family after our chat.

@@tarotonthetrailI walked this today with some of my friends from school and the distorted voices are your voice echoing through the tunnel creating a vacuum that makes you hear a distorted version of your voice and also the river drips through ever now and then and if you were not looking it feels like something touching you and now for the final thing the camera sightings of weird stuff is just the camera trying to adjust to the darkness
