My favorite masenko moment is when future Trunks and Gohan do a double masenko against Lss broly in the original movie cause it hints and confirms the homie trunks learned it from future gohan who then learned it from Piccolo A legacy of a move
F Trunks is a legacy line of Gohan, who learned from Both Piccolo and Goku, and whatever he picked up from Vegeta. Goku, Piccolo, and Vegeta are legacy lines from three separate and often at odds "schools" of fighting. *Deep*!
I don't agree with you the attack was easily deflected by Nappa. He managed to deflect it, but it was way harder than he thought, making him say, "makes my arm numb."
I feel like the Masenko was meant to be the future signature move of the dragon ball series. But icon that is the kamehameha wave could never be left behind
Are ki attacks different from each user? lets say you were to take a physical sample of ki from an attack, put that ki in a tube, and looked under a microscope, whats the difference between a kamehameha and a galic gun? does the ki attack dpened on the hand/arm formation? whats preventing vegeta charging a kamehameha with his galic gun hand form or goku charging a galic gun in his kamehameha hand form?
I don't really understand why the attack is so often represented as a very unique attack to Gohan, like in dragonball fighterz. I could have sworn he used the Kamehameha more times than the masenko, but then again the masenko is probably the coolest beam attack in just about every way.
What’s the difference between ki attacks. I know special beam cannon and final flash and uniques attack variations. SBC being a deadlier death beam and final flash being a all out FU focus blast. But for example what make the maseko, kamehameha and galik gun different? And why the kame seem to be the one ultimate beam attack since everyone use it. Like full power energy blast, mouth blast and all that. Are they the same thing but characters prefer different hand positions like exercising?
The Kamehameha and Galick Gun takes time to charge, which is a downside but the damage output is insane while the Masenko is a faster Beam blast but the damage is weak. That’s the difference
It is often hinted that ki blasts are different in term of how much energy you can put into them. In the Tenshinhan arc, they say the Dodonpa is stronger than the Kamehameha, they also introduce the Kikoho which is said to be one of -if not the- strongest ki blast. So basically, the better the technique, the more energy you can put into it. This is why we often see weaker opponent with stronger techniques being able to affect stronger opponent, for exemple with the Final Flash or the Kikoho.
@@WallySketch that I understand. Like any ki base anime your goal is to condense the energy and put as much as you need to get the biggest damage. I was asking in terms of effects if any. Like one of goku ki blast now in blue could probably cancel out cell saga vegeta final flash. But if that’s the only explanation and maybe some are just easier to use. Thank you for a more in-depth explanation tho
@@josegar30 Very few have some cool effect, but the majority are just creating pressure and/or explosions. Kamehameha is actually a very inefficient ki wave. Goku switched to the Chō Kamehameha (Super Kamehameha) during his battle against Piccolo Jr. in the 23rd Tournament. I guess it's just his own improved version...
There's also another case that's kind of a Masenko use. When fighting against Vegeta in the anime version of the Saiyan Arc's climax, there's a part where Gohan shouts Kamehameha in the Japanese version despite the pose clearly being for a Masenko.
A fun fact about Garlic Jr's henchmen in the filler arc - they're never actually referred to by their names in the Japanese anime and were only named through the credits.
say say-in if u can say both the word say and the word in then combining them to make Saiyan shouldnt be much of a problem to pronounce or at least from my bigot perspective it seems so

Yes that one is so epic! I'm a big fan of that instance too

I had to think for a sec and yeah I pictured both of them doing it. It still did no damage to broly tho lmfaoo
@@Fedsmoker999 beast
Actually fun fact, the first time the Masenko was seen in the series was by piccolo jr. as a child in Dragonball
Yes that's true mate
When attacked by family hunting dog
It was filler
It was instinctive to save his life.
I don't agree with you the attack was easily deflected by Nappa. He managed to deflect it, but it was way harder than he thought, making him say, "makes my arm numb."
Before he was trained by piccolo, Gohan instinctively used ki to start a fire to cook a piece of T-Rex's tail.
Forgot that one, sorry mate!
@@KaioshinCurt You're good, just thought I'd mention that moment. It's easy to forget.
Dope Mon! The Masenko is a cool move. The move seems easier to perform then a KaMaHaMaHa. Good video!
Thanks mate, yes sometimes it can be released very fast, like with future trunks in Super Vs Goku black
Tbh if I could choose one attack other than flying to use irl I would use the masenko that or the ki blade
Masenko is easier move to perform but the downside is the damage which makes sense because it doesn’t take that much time to charge up
Pan also uses it a handful of times in GT. Equally heartwarming to see her using a technique passed down by her father.
I feel like the Masenko was meant to be the future signature move of the dragon ball series. But icon that is the kamehameha wave could never be left behind
Would be cool if Masenko was Gohan signature move
DB Super was garbage but one of the scenes made me so giddy was when Trunks used the Masenko against Goku Black. So nice to see the.move again

Nothing, its basic, but you cant have everyone using the same thing
My favourite attack. I loved using it in xenoverse 2 with the back flip
MASENKO!
I'll never get tired of hearing that!
I don't really understand why the attack is so often represented as a very unique attack to Gohan, like in dragonball fighterz. I could have sworn he used the Kamehameha more times than the masenko, but then again the masenko is probably the coolest beam attack in just about every way.
Technicaly is the only Gohan exclusive technique
Future Trunks killed cell with it.
The panel where Gohan and Piccolo combined Masenko and Special beam cannon was dope.
I truly did not know about that dubb because I watch the Latino version. Thanks for the video Kai

He also used it the tournament of power

They are basically the same thing, the only difference is the color which is sometimes due to the person's ki (like how Broly has green ki)
The Kamehameha and Galick Gun takes time to charge, which is a downside but the damage output is insane while the Masenko is a faster Beam blast but the damage is weak. That’s the difference

Look into how "Saiya-jin" is said in Japanese and remove the "jin", that's what he is saying

Why didn't you include when Gohan did the Masenko during the tournament of power?

Are you saying saiyan or cyan? Because it definitely sounds like cyan
So like.... isn't most ki blasts just about the same other then what they call it, with the exception of the ones that clearly look different and react differently
When boiled down to the most simplified aspect, yes, but there's clear differences in how they're utilised or how much it can amplify a user's Ki.
