National Anthem: Tanzania - Mungu ibariki Afrika

- "Mungu ibariki Afrika" (English: God bless Africa) is the national anthem of Tanzania. The anthem is the Swahili language version of Enoch Sontonga's popular hymn Nkosi Sikelel' iAfrika. The word Mungu in Swahili means God and the title of the anthem therefore translates as God bless Africa.
"Mungu ibariki Afrika" was translated and became the anthem of Tanganyika. It was essentially assigned to Enoch Sontonga, who died in 1905. Mungu ibariki Afrika used the tune to "Nkosi Sikelel' iAfrika" with a Swahili translation of the words. It is not known who composed the lyrics but it is known that it was Samuel Mqhayi and Enoch Sontonga who created the early versions used by the African National Congress. Although the tune has been assigned to Sontonga it is thought that the tune was originally written by Joseph Parry. - เพลง
I am gladdened by this anthem as it prays for the welfare & progress of the entire African continent. As an indian Academician who specialises in African societies, histories& politics, i developed a special liking for the first Tanzanian President, H. E. ( the late),Julius Nyerere. Pray with the African union becoming a member of the G20, both India and the African countries will work together, as traditional friends, discovering the bonds that bind us. Uhuru na ujama, mungu ibaraki our people. Vande Matharam.

I can’t begin to explain how immense this is as an anthem. I’m from the U.K. and I went to school in London. We used to sing this regularly at my primary school as our headmistresses’ husband was Tanzanian. I can only reminisce with pure joy whenever I hear this absolutely stunning piece of music.

One of the most iconic anthems i have heard. It may not be complex, nor is it very original (since zambia and south africa share the same melody partially), but its message is very clear and great.

It was written by a South African man, Enoch Sentonga in 1912.
Was first adopted by Tanzania, later by Zambia, Namibia, Zimbabwe, and South Africa in 1997.
As of today, only Tanzania, Zimbabwe, and South Africa still uses it as their national language.
One song, same meaning, same rhythm, but in different languages.
