- “The Kentucky Colonel” Nick Varner is a BCA Hall of Fame member who dominated the game at the peak of his career. He had won back to back US Open 9-Ball Championships and had world titles in just about every discipline at the table.
David Matlock was known as one of the top bar table players in the game, but was quite proficient on the 9 foot tables at the Derby City Classic.
Bill Incardona and Danny Diliberto call the action.

Legend has it the legendary Nick Varner is still chewing that same piece of gum lol
😂
@@dastaten 🤣😂
Thank you so much for posting this. Huge matlock fan, love to see old matches on the big tables.
Nick Varner Had the greatest year in billiards history winning 12 of 24 major tournament’s.
I recommend the members pass for anyone who got tired of wasting money on Netflix or Hulu. 10 bucks a month to get matchs from the catalog that are never an average match. Thanks for the opportunity to finally see Matlock play when I heard about him growing up as a kid. Dangerous with the big cue ball.
Matlock was one of the best 9 ball players on a 7ft table I've ever seen. That was in the 90's. NOBODY wanted to draw his name in a tournament back then.
There were a lot of great players back then but they were playing with Earl, Nick, Segel and Reyes in their prime plus a few others like mizerek and Hall
I loved watching Matlock play when I lived in Olathe Kansas. He's like a navy Seal of pool.
Dave playing on a small table makes him a navy seal of the kiddy pool.
@@markstephen9808 HAHA you're sooooo funny! /s

What a super thin hit on the 3 by David in rack 1 jeez 😮. Almost looked liked he didn't hit it for the hook 😂😅
👁️👁️ the best premiers EVER!
He hit it.
Nice
Matlock got away with a foul! His cue moved that ball! If we were gambling, we would’ve had a problem!
Good shootin Nick.....
28:24 "This is too straight"
No it isn't, Danny. That is absolutely perfect and I would've shot it the same after that. :D
8:25 Nicks right arm shaking like a leaf on that 8 ball shot
Apparently he's always had a significant shake and it never affected him.
Wasn't "Matlock" the name of some television show about a detective?
The sardo making an appearance.
Nick Varner loves his gum… if I ever see him hopefully we can play one game for a pack of Winter Green!
thats David fucking Matlock, put some respect on his name!
cloth doesnt wear in after 6 days.chalk build up over 6 days is what makes it play like worn in
Does anyone know what kind of cue Nick is playing with? One of his own or?
