Well here it is my replacement Saddlemen Seat for the Harley Davidson Road Glide ST.
I simply wasn't entirely happy with the original Step Up seat I purchased when doing the custom build on my Road Glide. Could this be the ideal replacement and King of Seats?

Great seat, brought my first Harley yesterday a low rider St and ordered that same seat they are not cheap so was stressing a bit about have I brought the right seat , thanks Dean you calmed my overthinking

FNC I bought this exact seat for mt 22 Road Glide Special last year because of this video. It's firm but still the best seat I ever purchased. My lower back thanks you.

Just put 1400 miles on a month on mine and my ass still hurts. For me it was horrible on long rides. Couldnt stay in it for more then 2 hrs. Best for me in the mountains in the corners
The orange trim on your prior saddle looked amazing. The angles definitely have to be right. All Carbon finish center of SDC looks equally sweet. Saddles are like shoes. You gotta love it or you’re not inspired to spend time on it. Agreed about the Touring saddles. They are sublime in comfort. It is what it is. Good stuff coming out of the FnC Camp. Good to see you resurface. Ride safe and often. Life’s short. Just buy the bike. Peace

I’ve owned a SDC without backrest my back still got sore after 1 Hr, wish I had the backrest, so I ended up selling it as I have a Lepera outcast also with backrest and use the backrest a lot for any longer rides.
The saddleman was slightly narrower near the tank,my feet planted on ground easier.
But the Lepera also has more cushion for the pillion,It also has the gel so is very comfy.

I’m in complete agreement concerning the stock seat that was on my RG, and after quite a bit of research and trial and error, decided on the Harley Hammock seat and rider’s backrest…very happy with the comfort

Everyone is going to have different opinions on seats depending on how much they ride, how much they weigh, if they ride a passenger, if they have issues with their backs ,how tall they are, so many different variables in each person. I have never found any seat that is actually a gold mine . If your short or have short legs the wider seats are harder for that person to back the bike up because now his feet are not planted on the ground as flat as with a skinny seat, so there are just to many variables with what is the best, The best would be what fits your body, your life style.
Gday mate , Matt Laidlaws video of top ten of comfort accessories, his no 1 is riders backrest. I just put one on my RKS , would not use it for local riding but for on the highway it makes it so much more comfortable with touring seat

yeh great seat.. Ive had mine a month on my ST love it... Im running it with the back rest removed and findit comfortable as it is.. the back rest was pushing me forward which I felt uncomfortable with..

Hey Mon, yeah the back rest being adjustable into 3 settings does move you forward a good 2 inches I would say when fully extended. Ridin Dad has a great video comparison as well th-cam.com/video/KcE7Khq8n2E/w-d-xo.html

You could if you’re traveling alone. My favourite touring seat is the Mustang Super Deluxe amazing seat for long road comfort get it with the back rest too. 👍🔥

Hey James, thanks for reaching out. I’ve had a few of both models and now that I’m a Road Glide owner I would unlikely go back. For me, a lot less buffeting and feels much lighter to ride without the big fixed batwing of the Street Glide bolted to your handlebars. Seems to cut through the wind much better on highways too. @@jameswilson2268 yeah hard to say but the buffeting for my height at 5’9” wasn’t great in the SG. I’d recommend taking both out for a nice day ride yourself before making the call 👍

It's very comfortable, by design we use a higher-density foam along with our Gel Core technology- it's a winning combination. Let us know what you need :)
Yeah good question Roger! I would think so yes because that little backrest does much more than you actually realise in support and taking pressure of your lower back and tail area 👍🔥

Hey Mon, not really recommended for a pillion especially for any great distance. The passenger part of the seat narrows, less cushioning and lowers as it reaches toward the rear fastener bolt. Question really is how much do you like your pillion? 😂🤣👍🔥
He i got a 2022 streetglide st i got the saddleman slim sc seat witch is a 2 up i got a question . When putting the saddleman seat on do you remove the old bolts that hold the stock single seat on or just leave them in place under the new seat so you dont have 2 screws sticking up out the fender into your new seat

I never rode with the stock ST seat so I can’t comment but I believe it moves you a little higher in the riding position and possibly forward slightly.

What is the quick release pin for? I cant figure out what the heck it does.
Hey Michael the quick release pin allows you to pull the backrest up and relocate it into 3 different positions depending on where you want it positioned. So effectively locks the backrest from falling down if you want it up higher 👍🔥

Hey mate hard to say I’m 5’9 and it’s perfect although with this particular seat there is an adjustable back/lumbar support which will sit you more upright. If you test ride one of these seats that’d be ideal otherwise you might have to take a punt on it. I can say their resale value is very strong however 🔥👍

It’s a beautiful seat and a great day trip seat. I haven’t done extended km of more than 300km in a day and it was great.
I use the Mustang Super Deluxe touring seat when I tour which is great for the big Km’s of 400 plus 👍🔥
Have you ever tried making something that fits everyone? That makes everyone happy? Of course not. Harley is no different. They know you will change your seat, no matter what they provide stock. So that's the fun of creative change. We don't all wear the same shoes.

People cry about the cost of Harley AS IS. Imagine they put an SDC Pro on each Road Glide and raise the price another $800. Would you like that? No. You still would change the seat.
Yes this is true Tom indeed. The personalisation of a Harley is the best part. I was once told on the purchase of my very first HD, “you’ve now bought the bike, that’s only the deposit, here’s your 900 page accessory book” 👍🔥
