Thank you for rescuing and taking care of these majestic animals. They are on the endangered list. The poaching for their Ivory is horrible. Also, the horns from the rhinoceros. My heartfelt thanks to all zoos that are maintaining the populations of endangered animals. They get the best veterinary care, well fed , and are protected by their keepers. Better treated than some humans!

I mean no offense to the staff working but zoos are a thing that needs to be removed. These poor elephants are merely surviving in captivity, they aren't living. Release them back into the wild where they belong and can live the way they want. It's sad, you can see it in big elephant eyes, they're miserable. These are not stupid animals.

I understand what your saying.. But most animals in Zoo's are rescues that wouldn't survive out in the open world because of domestication. That's like releasing your dog or cat into the wild after raising it.

Releasing these animals now would be the equivalent of murdering them.

Without zoos animals would be extinct. What you are doing here is Anthropomorphism
Elephants lack the drainage canals therefore always look like they are crying.

They need to be studied. Many sanctuaries and orphanages help each other. There's much to know. They are safe in the zoo. They are allowed to reproduce also which is wonderful. I know what your saying but I think the Most important thing to elephants is being Together. They are social and must be in herd.
