To watch Mick play on stage for a, what had to have been a 3 hour show several nights a week with his back issues is a huge eye opener! The man was suffering silently, but seriously kicked ass on guitar for many years! We salute you, sir! 💕

Mick Mars is probably one of the most underrated guitarists of all time. No one will ever mention him in the same breath as Eric Clapton or Jimi Hendrix-yet the guy single-handedly defined guitar for an entire decade/generation. He’s an incredibly talented guy who provided this band’s signature sound.

Mick Mars is actually probably the only reason Motley Crue went anywhere. A bit older, sure, more mature and kept them sort of on the straight and narrow but he brought musical maturity to the equation as well. I would say him and Vince Neil are probably the two biggest factors that helped them out at the beginning but Nikki Sixx's passion and determination didn't hurt and Tommy Lee is a monster on drums, we all know that.

They tried without one of them. Band was good, but spirit wasn't the same. It's wasn't MC anymore.
Edit : but oc, MM is defo a GIANT in the music world. An inspiration for generations.
And as a human too. He never gave up fighting, and is not waiting for things to happen (even if waiting works for some ppl too, but that's even more out of topic, so I gonna go now ^^)

They should've called themselves something different, a different name for a different era, because honestly they sounded like a 90s band at that time. And I do love 90's rock I just cannot accept MC as being a part of that musical time period. To me they're 80's in the best way possible.

nikki wrote most of the songs, so the lyrical genius wouldnt be there, the rest of the band has good lyric writing too, but we wouldnt have classics like feelgood

Motley Crue is one of the best bands I have ever listened to, it will forever be my favorite and #1. I will forever be thankful that my dad raised me to them AND Metallica.
I'm so sad being born in the wrong decade (*1982)... At least I had the pleasure to see Vince live at Wacken Open Air 2018. Although grown older (and slightly bigger), he still is a showman beyond compare... He rocked the crowd of the infield in the afternoon under bright sun at 35 ° C. Damn hot show, in both senses... 😜🤘

When I turned 17 ,I was backstage at the Whiskey in Hollywood and I told Nikki it was my Birthday and it was also his Dec.11 1981 ,also they were releasing the first pressing of too fast for love! So Nikki gets 2 double shots of Jack Daniels and gives me one ,I had never drank any more than a few beers, so with everyone watching we drink them and it thought I was gonna trow up in his face ,but I kept it down somehow ,and that was the beginning of a couple decades of alcoholism and playing music ,Nikki and especially Mick really helped me on getting a band going and what to do and not do! Great guys!
