Last Lap Pass at the 2024 Indy500…and more! - Josef Newgarden Wins, Taps, F16’s & Rain Delay

Come along for the ride as we walk up to The Speedway (the Indianapolis Motor Speedway), through the infield past the SNAKE PIT and hide under the stands during a rain delay. Catch the most solemn event in all of sports with the playing of Taps during pre-race ceremonies and witness the Blue Angel flyover at the end of the United States National anthem. We also can't forget the parade lap and some of the race action from my seat in Turn 3!!! What a great race, you really need to consider getting a ticket next year!!!

This was my 40th 500 in a row 41 all together ! One great thing about living 1.8 miles from the greatest race course in the world i got to take a nap at home and wait out mother nature ! I sit in turn 3 to section 4 rows JJ & HH seats 1-4 .and it was a great race thanks for sharing 🏁🏁🏁🏁

At least you didn't have to go far to get home and hope we can meet up next year as this was my 48th STRAIGHT Indianapolis 500 in a row! What a finish!

Dang you hiked it down to victory circle. I weathered the storm under a pop up with some friends and some peeps caught out, in parking just so of 16th. Some in cars. Went in around 2:45. Weird driving out later it was dark.
Honestly, I never tire of witnessing revelers and the humanity part of it all.
totally! We have to walk back underneath the front stretch to get back to our car anyways, and we saw Josef up there so we decided to walk down that way. it was crazy walking around there in the twilight.
Cheers from the Paddock at the Start Finish Line! Hope we can meet up next year and what did you do during the rain delay? I went into one of the garages they kept the safety trucks in and crashed!
we had under the stands and turn three, waited it out there, and then went up as soon as the rain let up!
I saw the flyover and never saw the Blue Angels.

I left my house in Avon at 3:00 , still was in my seat right on time & dry……
