I have been Natural all my life (24 years), and I always wondered what it would be like to relax my hair, but was scared because of all the horror stories I have heard and seen in real life. Then I came in contact with your videos. The best thing I ever did. An hour ago I self relaxed my hair incorporating all your tips and my hair turned out soooo good. I am so glad I have your videos to join me on this new hair journey. Thank you so ooo very much. I appreciate you ❤❤❤

Last year, I got rid of a lot of products that had harmful chemicals in them. That can cause cancer, and it wasn't good for our scalp or our hair. And I believe that's why a lot of women hair becomes damaged because of these harmful chemicals that are in these products, especially ours..

My hair products have stayed pretty much the same for the last 5 years, the Joico Kpak Reconstructor and Hydrator for strength, Joico moisture recovery shampoo and conditioner for maintenance. Daily or as needed moisturizers are As I am moisturizer and Aunt Jackie's Quench moisturizer with Design Essentials moisture mask and Mizani Moisturefuse on washdays without and with protein respectively. I do not use the Keracare Humecto very often as I find the slip is not where I need it to be. My protein treatments after my twice a year relaxers are an oldy but goody, Dudley's DRC 28 which I had to scour the internet to find and only have one last bottle:(, as well as Olaplex No.2 and No. 3 to maintain my bonds after relaxer. My leave ins are Joico Kpac foam, and Aunt Jackie's Quench leave-in. Depending on how my hair feels and what it needs these staples deliver for me and we are peeping at waist length.

Just started my relaxed hair journey yesterday 😊 I’m excited. I know a lot of people suggest going to a professional to get it done but unfortunately I don’t have that luxury so I had to do it myself. I’m in need of a trim badly so I will go get that done professionally, I used the mizani butter blends normal relaxer since I wasn’t able to get my hands on the affirm sensitive scalp relaxer on such short notice(had a date later that day with the hubby) I used the matching ph balancing conditioner and nutralizing shampoo bath. Then I used the kera care shampoo and conditioner you suggested along with the hair mayonnaise and tgin deep conditioner mixed with olive oil. Hair felt so soft and strong. For styling I used mizani 25 Miracle Milk leave in spray, Carol’s Daughter Goddess Strength leave-in and the mizani heat protectant. I blow dried my hair on low heat and that’s was it. My hair feels amazing and I can’t wait for my touch up😊😊

Great video! I think a great follow-up video would be how to read hair product labels to uncover if indeed it incorporates formaldehyde. The actual word, formaldehyde, is typically not worded as such which I feel the hair manufacturer is playing the game of "trickery". It would be nice for you to do a video explaining all of the possible names formaldehyde could be used in hair products. ❤

2)is there a VEGAN Product similar to Infusion 23?
3)Are there products that work best on high humidity days?
4)Do you use Protecto by Affirm?

    Hello,
I want to be a long time subscriber and I have a question based on the deep conditioning on relaxer day today. I recently was giving the ORS olive oil professional replenishment conditioner and in one or more of your videos you stated that you have used this as a deep conditioner on relaxer day.
Do you keep it in for 25 minutes under the dryer?
Do you mix it with oils on relaxer day?

*I think the amount of formaldehyde in these hair care products are at a very low rate which is enough to kill microbes but not harmful to human beings after all we also have formaldehyde in our body and so also some fruits that we eat.*
*Please, research Labmuffin, Chemists Corner, Incidecoder and plethora of cosmetic scientists as regards their position on this preservative before changing your product.*

@@paulinadownsthyme8226 I remember this same preservative was talked about heavily in 2018 and I made an extensive research on it after falling into the fear mongering trap and realised that it was nothing.
The funny thing is that the amount/ratio of the formaldehyde in chemicals used to make nail products, lash glue etc is even way higher than the under 0.000001 percent used in hair care products!

I love using Avlon Affirm Positive Link conditioner to deep condition not just for relaxer day, nothing I’ve used has kept my hair from shedding so much and just easier to maintain and detangles good, I do use a light protein before because the formula seems to be more of a moisturizing conditioner when it did have proteins in it before which is a bummer because it had that perfect protein/moisture balance and Avlon messed around and took all the protein out 🙄🤣
