I know a lot of people suggest going to a professional to get it done but unfortunately I don’t have that luxury so I had to do it myself. I’m in need of a trim badly so I will go get that done professionally, I used the mizani butter blends normal relaxer since I wasn’t able to get my hands on the affirm sensitive scalp relaxer on such short notice(had a date later that day with the hubby) I used the matching ph balancing conditioner and nutralizing shampoo bath. Then I used the kera care shampoo and conditioner you suggested along with the hair mayonnaise and tgin deep conditioner mixed with olive oil. Hair felt so soft and strong. For styling I used mizani 25 Miracle Milk leave in spray, Carol’s Daughter Goddess Strength leave-in and the mizani heat protectant. I blow dried my hair on low heat and that’s was it. My hair feels amazing and I can’t wait for my touch up😊😊

Hello, I want to be a long time subscriber and I have a question based on the deep conditioning on relaxer day today. I recently was giving the ORS olive oil professional replenishment conditioner and in one or more of your videos you stated that you have used this as a deep conditioner on relaxer day. Do you keep it in for 25 minutes under the dryer? Do you mix it with oils on relaxer day?
Hi Val... good to see you again. Are you still using Olaplex products (specifically No. 3)? I'm going to try the Infusion K. I have a hard time finding a good protein conditioner.
*I think the amount of formaldehyde in these hair care products are at a very low rate which is enough to kill microbes but not harmful to human beings after all we also have formaldehyde in our body and so also some fruits that we eat.* *Please, research Labmuffin, Chemists Corner, Incidecoder and plethora of cosmetic scientists as regards their position on this preservative before changing your product.*
@@paulinadownsthyme8226 I remember this same preservative was talked about heavily in 2018 and I made an extensive research on it after falling into the fear mongering trap and realised that it was nothing. The funny thing is that the amount/ratio of the formaldehyde in chemicals used to make nail products, lash glue etc is even way higher than the under 0.000001 percent used in hair care products!
@@uberhaute_naturalz84formaldehyde was in Tresemme shampoo. It gave my mom 3rd degree burns in her scalp. The percentage may have been low, but my mom was definitely affected.
@@uberhaute_naturalz84 Naturally occurring formaldehyde in fruits versus a synthetic ingredient is very different. In my opinion, there are other anti microbial ingredients that could be used in replacement of DMDM hydantoin. I appreciate your view and as I said in the video, I just found alternatives and was asked to share what I’m using💕
Hey Val, I just became a relaxer girly and I’m so glad I came across your channel again. I big chopped Oct 2018 and I’m back binge watching your videos because I’m prepared to make a comeback on my relaxer hair journey! I feel so equipped, thank you🙏🏾🥰
I went ahead and bought the Manuka Honey & Mafura Oil Intensive Hydration hair masque and ended up on your moisture vs protein video. Unfortunately it has hydrolized rice protein and I wanted a pure moisture deep conditioner. Unfortunately it feels like Humecto is the ONLY ONE that DOESN’T have protein.
Welcome back Val!! Thank you for doing this video. I use to use ORS Creamy Aloe Shampoo once a month, but I started to used my neutralizing shampoo, because my hair felt better. Knowing this information now makes me feel even better that I made the right choice.
I love using Avlon Affirm Positive Link conditioner to deep condition not just for relaxer day, nothing I’ve used has kept my hair from shedding so much and just easier to maintain and detangles good, I do use a light protein before because the formula seems to be more of a moisturizing conditioner when it did have proteins in it before which is a bummer because it had that perfect protein/moisture balance and Avlon messed around and took all the protein out 🙄🤣

I started using more professional products, some olaplex, kenra leave in, keracare and affirm. Phased out my scurl, aussie and mane choice products. Use the olaplex and kenra oils for daily use.
Interesting! I miss Kenra. Such a great product line🫶🏾
Hello Val
Welcome back , how often do you use protein or the infusion protein?
Your makeup is gorgeous please do an updated makeup routine❤
Great to see you again!
Have you changed the relaxer you use?
Welcome Back Val❤❤❤
Now, I'm here reading all the comments and like a lot of people that Scurl was my staple to stretch my relaxer😢😢😢, but I'm definitely trying one of the new products you mentioned....i noticed something some people have found reformulations of Ors shampoo and conditioner...can you please check that out for us and do a follow-up video please and thank you ❤
Yessssss, a new video 🙌😘❤️
1) Are you using the Rev-Air?
2)is there a VEGAN Product similar to Infusion 23?
3)Are there products that work best on high humidity days?
4)Do you use Protecto by Affirm?
Thank You!! Love Your Recommendations and Videos ♥️👏🏽.. Can you please share your current sealing oil(s) ??
Val the real OG!
You've been missed girl!!
Thank you for the update. I didn't see a link to the new Keracare product.
Yup, is there in the description 😊Thanks for watching.
What do you think of mizani products have you tried them before? Also do you have recommendations for heat protectors.
This was a great video. Would you be able to make an updated video on protein inclusive and protein free shampoos, conditioners, and treatments/masks/deep conditioners? It’s so hard to tell these days. Thank you ❤😊
Thank you, thank you, thank you. I’m so glad you have done a new video. You have been such a blessing to me. My hair journey is going well thanks to you and a few other people.🥰🥰🥰🥹
soooo glad you’re back!💕 has your recommendation for the conditioner you use to deep condition on dry hair changed? I believe you used Aussie in the video from like 2 years ago. i love that dry hair method and need a good conditioner lol
Thank you!! Yes, I still use it and love it💕
I used those ORS and Aphogee on my now natural and relaxed hair.. wow
I have been waiting forever for you to rate the new keracare shampoo.
I did not want to try it until you gave it thumbs up.
Val can I ask? Have you noticed a shampoo/conditioner set that promotes hair growth ??
I also noticed an expensive mask that makes hair thickness out of this world
Great video, thank you!
I miss the good ol hair blogs and Hairlista 😢 can you post the links to any of the articles you read - I googled but can’t find anything?
I love KK products it’s grown my hair out so good
Hello,
I want to be a long time subscriber and I have a question based on the deep conditioning on relaxer day today. I recently was giving the ORS olive oil professional replenishment conditioner and in one or more of your videos you stated that you have used this as a deep conditioner on relaxer day.
Do you keep it in for 25 minutes under the dryer?
Do you mix it with oils on relaxer day?
Thank you! What gel do you recommend for relaxed hair?
Hey girl hey… it’s been a while. I found a distributor in my state for the affirm, my hair loves the relaxer.
@@mrstmyles1 wow! Good for you💕 it’s such a great relaxer system.
Hi Val... good to see you again. Are you still using Olaplex products (specifically No. 3)? I'm going to try the Infusion K. I have a hard time finding a good protein conditioner.
Hey hun! Yes, I still use Olaplex no.03 typically the wash day right after my relaxer touch-up. Thanks for the love and for watching💕
Can you do a video about cloves and the other tea rinses in vogue please. Are they beneficial for hair growth?
I though you quit TH-cam. Glad you are back girl ❤
No not at all. Just took a lil unintentional break🥰
Thanks for sharing. When using the Infusion K Anti Breakout treatment, do you follow up with a moisturizing conditioner?
Yes I do! Thanks so much for watching💕
I was doing the deep conditioner and end up with protein overload and my hair started breaking badly.😊
Just did it two day ago! So mad!!
*I think the amount of formaldehyde in these hair care products are at a very low rate which is enough to kill microbes but not harmful to human beings after all we also have formaldehyde in our body and so also some fruits that we eat.*
*Please, research Labmuffin, Chemists Corner, Incidecoder and plethora of cosmetic scientists as regards their position on this preservative before changing your product.*
I appreciate your view and as I said in the video, I just found alternatives and was asked to share what I’m using💕
@@HairliciousInc no problem, ma'am
YES very recent video!!
@hairlicious do you still use your same relaxer or have you changed to something new because of what has been said about relaxers as well?
Are you not using the Aussie miracle moist shampoo as a clarifying shampoo anymore?
Val, long time no see.
Thank you.
@@m.aurelia.s9098 I know it’s been a minute 😘
I did not see formaldehyde in the Aphogee 2 min. Is it under another name?
Probably DMDM hydantoin
The KeraCare Curl Essence shampoo and conditioner is all that I use! ❤
Welcome bk🎉
You look good! Better than ever imo.
Glad to see you.😊
Heya.. on relaxer day, what protein treatment do you use or recommend? Thank you
I like to use my affirm positive link conditioner and my joico moisture recovery balm (tad bit of protein in it).
Hey Val, I just became a relaxer girly and I’m so glad I came across your channel again. I’m not sure if you have ever done this but are you able to pass on your Mary’s info as I have started using Keracare products and I love them but I too have a lot of hair and have a family full of long hair. If so that would be greatly appreciated.
Welcome to the Relaxed hair community💕 Are you in Toronto?
How often are you using the protein treatment?
Have you used the tymo straightener ..I used it on my hair once and my hair was silky. I liked it but was scared of my hair getting damaged from the temp on the comb
Looking sunkissed and gorgeous.
Thank youuuu🥹 🫶🏾
I big chopped Oct 2018 and I’m back binge watching your videos because I’m prepared to make a comeback on my relaxer hair journey! I feel so equipped, thank you🙏🏾🥰
Yesss!! Wish you all the best on your relaxed hair journey hun. Healthy relaxed hair is possible💁🏾♀️💕🫶🏾 So glad my content has been helpful!!
Wonderful video thank you.
Thank you so much for watching🫶🏾💕
Thank you for the transparency. Can you provide the article names, perhaps a link, that you influence you to change your products? Thank you.
The articles I read should be linked in the video I referenced (description box). Thank you for watching!
started your videos but I had a natural twa... with patience and care hopefully this will workout.
You got this!🫶🏾
Welcome back Val!!
