Love it. So cool. That field you landed in in Rising Sun is actually owned by Rising Star Casino. They are a customer of mine and have given me permission to land there any time. They also have a really nice campground.
Cinematography was excellent! Keep sharing your passion. I hope to get into a class in the next 18-24 months. Subbed and shared with my YT channel from Dayton.
Cool video. What a great adventure. I can't wait to do a cross country long flight. The failed launch at the beginning was due to slacking lines caused by running up that slight hill. Just enough to cause the stall. Happened to me before too. Not many people look for that when choosing their path to run during launch..
Great video dude! Can you share the details of your mic set up. I’m looking for something like this to talk and catch the audio on film….. but I’m not know for my tech abilities 😂 Fly safe dude
Hey Dave, Great video! I’m surprised with crappy knees you don’t just go for a trike. My right knee sucks so that’s the route I’m going, at least to start with
Great stuff Passing the PowerPlant -- you looked low. Any outs in that area? Could not see any from the camera angle you gave. When I watch others I like to imagine where I could land if engine out. Only two fights under my belt so lots more experience to get. Cheers
Question: Since you’re in the same area as me. Do you have any PPG schools that you recommend? I’m tossed up between Predator Paramotor Training in Wilmington, OH and Midwest PPG just south of Indianapolis. But I’m open to other suggestions too.
Accurize2 | Survival Gaming Channel Those are the two that I looked at also. Chris at Predator was a better fit for me for a couple reasons. It was closer to my house And it was a little less formal style of training.
Great video. A few questions: what happened on the first launch on the video? It looked like the wing was overhead and you had speed. I couldn’t tell why it did not work out. Also, did you have comms on between each other?
davidis7 thanks david! So the first launch in the video was my 2nd. It was humid and I had laid my wing on the grass so it got soaked. Right before the concrete there was a dip and when i hit that dip I started loosing my balance and dropped my hands. That along with my shitty knees and slow running with no wind just stalled the wing. Three guys had 2 way radios and were chatting. We also had a group text message setup. Hope that helps!
Amazing Flight Brother, Awesome cinematography.

Good job buddy, we did a similar trip in Michigan and it took me about a month to get the video done.

targadave thanks man! I wanted to get some foot launching in while I still could. I’m sure I’ll end up in a trike though at some point.
the landing at 10:50... how in the world did you capture that? Did you land right behind him? Seems crazy dangerous haha
Raising Voyagers haha. Nope
I have a chase cam tied to my glider with a GoPro attached. It’s like a big badminton birdy.
David Schmaus incredible! Great capture!
Great stuff

PATRICK MCKOWEN thank you! Appreciate it! There were outs but definitely on the smaller side and not as many in that area.
