I'm glad you showed the first takeoff from the road, where the wing didn't come up good. And for sharing what was going on in your head, your apprehensions. And your camping kit details. I hope to do that some day, but I might go lighter and call my wife to drop off dinner, lol!
awesome !!!! kudos man, i think you brought more useful things for less weight than I did on my paracamping trip for sure... thanks for bringing us along and sharing your adventure ;)
Awesome journey Ben, enjoyed watching! I've often times wanted to intentionally land out at a strange field and take back off again but haven't done it yet. Hey glad the corn is okay. 😄
I’m so jealous been wanting to do this for sometime now. Spring I’m going to do this for sure. Thanks for putting a fire under me and making me wanting to do this even more now.
Nice! I did my first PPG camping trip in 2020 in the Sierras. We had to hike back out due to one of our teammates not being able to get airborne because of the extra gear weight, but it was still a blast! I appreciated your "leave no trace" effort.....wish more people were as considerate of the environment. Thanks for the great content!
Last year I flew 40 and 120 kilometers. this year, too, I plan to fly somewhere. I have a single cargo trike, it holds a spare 20 liters canister, tent, sleeping bag, 2 pillows, gas burner, kettle and more. live in Bashkiria, in russia.
Pretty cool. Has FREEDOM written all over it. You may have heard a group of us plan to visit Pilot Moutain the weekend for the 4th. Consider this an invite. Great job again.
Hey fellow North Carolinian! Really dig your vids, but next time, you should get some twilight and dark footage. It really helps with the viewers immersion of camping. Anyway I'm subbing, and take care. Goodbye from some rural mountainside west of Asheville.
Very nice Job with the video and sharing your thoughts throughout, dont let the failed launch get to ya as it happens to everyone at one time or another with enough flying under there belt :) when ya did launch it was nice and smooth :D Great Work
So, I fly the 24m Ozone Spyder 3. And I am flying the Atom80. I can't believe I am saying this, but I don't know my cruise amp. I'll look at my tachometer next week and reply. BTW, I have new motor on the way... - Ben
I weigh about, 175, the motor weighs about 50, the camp gear is about 11, and there is some additional weigh for fuel and clothes. I probably pushed my combination of wing and motor to just about the limit (for my comfort level).
Pozdrowienia z Polski.
Fajny pomysł na kemping.
Dziękuję Ci
Great video! Thank you for taking the time to share.
almost became the cob at the end there lol
Excellent outdoor experience

Make sure you know where you're landing if anybody owns the land
