That big CE on the tag, we always figure it's Chineseum Engineered.. many times, that seems to be the quality anyway. Always fun taking things apart, usually get the wrong half off first. Newer stuff just doesn't seem like you can polish up and make it work as well again... Used to put the old stuff in the lathe and polish or actually turn the armature.. now armatures are so thin....
Good evening Jan , i enjoy disassembly even when it's not productive.
Thank You Bryce, I might re-visit it once more to double check
Oh no, I hate to see that happen Jan.
Good luck selecting your next sander.

Good morning Gary, good to see you
that's like me, every time I try to work on an electric motor, I make it worse than it was before.

I have to take my sander apart. The brushes are worn out. Sorry your didn't work out Jan.
Good luck Matt, it is easy to open but that under plate can be tricky,
That can happen, it's not your fault. Every engine and parts has it's time. As you said you can still use parts of this machine.
Thanks my friend for the encouraging words, it just may be can come back to life, I found a possible fault
