- This is a country walk near Pateley Bridge, Nidderdale, in the Yorkshire Dales, England. A relaxing stroll through beautiful English scenery, filmed and presented in the style of 'Slow TV', ie. virtually no editing.
This is the first in a series of films designed to let you experience and enjoy the sights and sounds of country walks and driving tours as if you were actually there.
These films will appeal to anyone looking for a period of quiet relaxation, an introduction to an incredibly beautiful part of the world or, for whatever reason, would like to visit/revisit places they are not able to get to today.

A Yorkshire lad who moved to Canada in 1972. As a boy scout in the early 60's we camped near Pateley Bridge. Now living in the Bahamas but missing the wonderful Yorkshire country. It's on my bucket list to return to my Yorkshire. A wonderful stroll.

People in Britain don't realise how extraordinary that is.If you told someone in the Midwest of America, where I come from, that you intended to spend the weekend walking across farmland, they would look at you as if you were out of your mind. You couldn't do it anyway. Every field you crossed would end in a barrier of barbed wire. You would find no helpful stiles, no kissing gates, no beckoning wooden footpath posts to guide you on your way. Hello from the USA. Your Yorkshire Dales reminds me so much of the Ozarks and blue hills of Missouri. Although I must say, we don't have as much moss as you do. Thank you for taking us along on your walk on this beautiful morning. Enjoyed seeing your little companion. We have a chihuahua named Lily.
