W Scotland Road Trip Montage
This montage of a road trip around Western Scotland breaks the mould of every other video on this channel, in that it is heavily edited and features a music soundtrack. Please forgive me!I feel it captures the spirit of the area, with dramatic scenery, varied weather, remote landscapes and some historic sights. All the videos on this channel are slow moving by design! They are intended for those looking for a relaxing, peaceful experience. There is very little editing and no irritating musical soundtracks. (This video is the exception that proves the rule!)
Please do hit the Subscribe button and the Bell icon so that we can stay in touch, or take a look around the channel at the many other gently paced, relaxing videos. th-cam.com/channels/uB7oSDqbt_LHgJtHabeM8A.html

Firstly, it's just damp, it's not even raining. I've been up there in pouring rain in a car and on a motorcycle and from both sides. Don't know what you're driving but has it got a gearbox problem? It took about 5 or 6 attempts to find a gear when you first stopped. Take my advice. Don't try again even in the summer.

I first encountered Muker and Keld on my very first Long Distance Hike The Penine Way, way back in 1977 prior to joining the Army. I return for a North to South Pennine Way Hike in 1981 and there is something that keeps calling me back, because in 1990 I returned this time on my West to East Crossing of the Coast to Coast. I returned again iin 1995 for my East to West Coast to Coast. Five years ago I returned again for my Darlington, High Force, High Cup Nick, Dufton, Appleby, Kirkby Stephens, Keld, Muker and finally on to Richmond Hike to celebrate my 60th Birthday. Now I am retired I hanker to return again, but sadly I do not think my Knees could cope with it so I settle back most days and view it via TH-cam. Thank You for Posting a new (to me )video of my Favourite area of the UK. Tony in Essex, a retired Hiker.

A vision of hell, endless stone walls and a bleak, dreary landscape that hasn't changed in decades indeed is not allowed to change by law. If this is God's own country, she can keep it.

Ten minutes away from my house, I run on alternate evenings, usually in the dark, in the company of some of the Iron Men. From its installation in 2005, I've had so many opportunities to reflect - and the Iron Men make ideal companions, never interrupting, judging or disagreeing. However, I'll never know what they are thinking... A heartwarming piece of "slow video'.
