    I just ordered that exact same color Big Boss on Amazon for $60. You might try spraying the cooking rack with vegetable oil spray before putting the food in. It may make the clean up easier.

    Watching you two together is so cute. Thank you for uploading this video. My husband and I just got one for Christmas and your video is the best - and cutest - I've seen so far about how to use it. Thank you again. :)

    Love this thing! Makes amazing pizza from scratch( or frozen), frozen chicken wings, baked tofu. And I did the math and it costs me usually 4-6 cents to cook a meal if it takes 20 minutes because it lights only about 70% of the cooking time. Awesome. Especially because I got mine for $5 at a yard sale. Thanks guys!! Glass doesn't like heat shock so I think it is best to wait til the next day ( or totally cooled) to soak and clean it. I use cut up squares of milk cartons to scrape up any cooking goop in the bottom, like chicken fat, before soaking it. Honestly I usually clean it 2x a week and use it several times a day.

    When I do my drumsticks I do not flip over and I can walk away.. turns out perfect every time.. I just spray on oil and use seasoning salt.. nothing with sugar. I do the time that it says on the lid. My chicken is crunchy.. just love it.
    I wash my big boss equipment in the dishwasher and comes clean beautifully (of course not the electrical part.) .. I have had my big boss for 10 years.. when you had to buy it from a tv infomercial.. was not available in stores yet.

      Hi, we no longer use ours for meat but we dont flip tofu or “fried” cauliflower and it comes out perfectly. We were newbies when we made this video. Now use and clean up is piece of cake.

    This is a great video. My other air fryer broke (my son being too enthusiastic LOL) but I wanted to see how BIG this one was and how much I could actually cook as some people were saying it was way too big. I don't agree... I used my air fryer every single day and now after watching this video... this is the one I will get. It's large and exactly what I need to feed two teen boys.. I cook everything in there from toasting morning bagels to chicken to zucchini... I love the air fryers! Thanks so very much! I subscribed!

    I have a similar air fryer (Fingerhut brand) cleaning instructions I got with it was to put 2 inches of cold water and some detergent in the bowl (after it has cooled down). Set the temperature control to wash/thaw and timer for 10 minutes. Does a fairly good job of cleaning.

    • @kittyrichardson68
      @kittyrichardson68 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Barbara Jean Jasen With my Big Boss it said the same thing. I love watching it. It reminds me of ocean waves. I think I would have gotten the smaller size because the bowl is way to heavy for me to carry to empty. So have to wait for my son to come to do that. But I really do love it.

    Nice tip on inverting the high cooking rack for cleaning.
    BTW the Big Boss has a "Cleaning setting" You simply add hot water until it's filled about 2 inches and set the BB to "Clean" for 10 minutes and empty..
    Makes the pain of scrubbing much easier..

    I like your way of cooking, following your good sense. Thank you for a very instructive video. I just bought a big boss air fryer and i also own and tfal actifry. They are both convection cooking devices, but different. When it comes to cooking chicken pieces, convection air fryer like the big boss are the things to use. For fries and sautées, i prefer actifry because you start, and come back when its done since it constently mix the ingredients. Nice video, nice prensentation, Thank you,

    Look for Peel Ease on line. It is a water soluble spray mix, and sprayed on grills, as well as inside homemade sausage skins, prevents sticking. Cleaning is mush easier. Soaking will eventually ruin the chromed finish.

    This video is soo helpful !! , I'm off to university next week and my accommodation doesn't have an oven it has a microwave oven but I find them to be so drying on the food , like I tried to make sausages and they came out so dry like all the moisture was sucked out , and I just wanted to ask if you ever found that to happen with the air fryer ?

    Just FYI, the instruction manual says not to soak the trays and to wash them then immediately towel dry them. I'm wondering which accessories kit works with this fryer or if you can use ordinary cake pans in it. I know I have to get the silicone cupcake molds because it says not to put paper in it.

    Magic Question?
    I was waiting for you to demonstrate, how do you clean the top part where the motor and actual cooker light is? Because I'm sure there's a little bit of steam and juice that goes and pops up in there that may prevent it from working if nothing's done to it. Periodically at least!

    I just brought a halogen oven and I really like it a lot. The only thing I notice is that the wall of the outlet where I have my oven plugged in, that wall area starts to get very warm. My question is, if this is normal?.

    • @TheGraysonWay
      @TheGraysonWay  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't know but you should ask a professional about that

    Isn’t this self cleaning? I just got one for Christmas 🎄. I made the seasoned potato wedges, they were delicious. It said you don’t have to turn them cause the heat circulates. Hey did you guys lose any weight by using this? I’m hoping to lose a few pounds. Thanks for posting.👍

    • @TheGraysonWay
      @TheGraysonWay  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi, it's not self cleaning. You will need to wash the grates and the glass bowl as well as wipe down the top which holds the heating element. We aren't losing weight by using just this. Our main purpose was to stop eating so many deep fried things and it has helped us in that way. Combined with exercise and a healthy diet you may see results.

    • @djleslie777
      @djleslie777 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      LifeOfRon G yes I used the self cleaning feature but I guess it just loosens up the dried up food. I don’t know I figured if I dont eat fried foods I’d loose weight, lol, guess I was hoping for an easy way out. I love it, now I’m learning to dehydrate fruits/veggies. I haven’t used my stove in over a week😄👍

    • @kenfoster3983
      @kenfoster3983 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      True it is not self cleaning, but waiting until the glass bowl is cooled, and adding dish soap and water, then doing the wash mode will help. Ron is correct about the grates being harder to clean.

    Just bought and first plug in started to smoke and smelled like electrical smell. So unplugged and let it rest. I’ve got shrimp and fries in it now. And the light goes on and off but only stays on a few seconds. Is that normal?

    • @TheGraysonWay
      @TheGraysonWay  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Celena P You probably want to read your instruction manual about that but pay attention to your air fryer and if it doesn't feel safe to cook in it, then don't use it and yes the light does go off and on.

    Honestly, I'm dying to see the best way to clean this thing in a worst case scenario (splatters in all directions). I'm ashamed to say that I had mine gifted to me over a year ago, and have been too intimidated to use it, largely due to having no idea how to clean it

    • @TheGraysonWay
      @TheGraysonWay  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We made a video on cleaning it as well. The top cooking element part should be wiped down with a damp cloth, not wet. You dont want water getting into there.
