Inspiring tones and playing, as always, John. I got the Stomp XL for Christmas and I love it so far. I’m new to the modeling world, so your videos are helpful as well as inspiring.
As a long term 30 year Triaxis 2:90 user with a fridge rack I have recently made the change to a minimal board based on a HX Stomp. Just wanted to take the time to say thank you for your TH-cam content. Really inspiring and helped me decide on the stomp over the ‘other’ posh digitals. I couldn’t be happier so thanks for all your really useful advice. No regrets. Bought your presets and sound incredible. Thanks again and looking forward to more Hx stomp preset magic.

That rhythm arpeggiated part of the loop. Sounds so effortless, but it is so accurate and sormft handed and precise, and impossible for me. Your pick control when economy picking is something I only just really started noticing. Great playing every day, and there are so many nuanced facets that make up the whole of it. I have an idea for a video series that I don't know if I've mentioned before: you reacting to presets that we send you. Maybe we pay you to look at them, or you do it as a live stream so those donations can be made or something

A little known - but outstanding drive pedal - is the NOC3 Pure Drive. This is hands-down my favorite drive.

I gig with the Stomp regularly covering a wide range of rock tones. I most often use subtle variations of DarkMatch35 and LonestarODS. With a couple of tweaks to suit the set list, these two cover more than 80% of my needs for gigs.

@@MauricioBond23 They are presets that use the HX synth module to produce an underlying note or cord (example: th-cam.com/video/-FE37NAUVCs/w-d-xo.html ) search John Cordy Pad and you will find his videos
He sells them separately from the lead presets and expression presets.

The video you made of that #1 Fender reverb, if you could do a patch copying that, it would be so great! I made one and got a similar tone, but not that close. Just an idea, so many people went ape shit for that tone... anyways,

Hey John, I bought your presets and noticed some of them doesn't have a amp/cab sim in the chain, so I curious if AMP sim is a must have if I am just using the stomp? Sorry if this sound stupid, I am really new to this, only a few months in learning the guitar.
I bought presets awhile back, but there isn’t anything past 3.15. Did I miss something?

What speakers do you use?
I used to own a few digital multieffects in my life. Boss Gt-3/6/10, Pod HD500...It usually took two months before they got on nerves... To dull, to much tweaking, no voodoo ( in my ears at least). This time I bought Line DL4 Mk II and I kind of like it :-) I made a record with it, even tweaking doesn't bother me that much :-) Now I want to go further in this direction and buy Line 6 Pod Go, merely for stuio use. The only thing that worries me that I won't be able completely switchh off amp and cab sims. No one can state honestly if it is possible or not. How it works in HX Stomp? Is it possible to use it only for efx?
My first setup of Helix was integrated into an existing real amp and pedals setup
I used it for loop fx and adding a cab sim to my amp line out and sending the whole lot to FOH
It’s completely flexible as to how you wish to use it.

Is the google drive not getting updated, anymore? I recently had trouble finding some of the newer presets.
John had some problems with the original Google drive folder when he was hacked a while back. I also lost updates at that point, but have reconnected via the Gumroad link. Yes I’ve paid twice, but it’s easily the best value in all of Helix world and he has a baby on the way!

One little complaint about Gumroad is that there is no link to PayPal. They say you can, if it is set up. Some of us don't like putting credit card info on unknown websites. Just a thought. Cheers.
I bought the old link years ago and just recently discovered that you moved to gummy bears or whatever it’s called. Definitely worth the few bucks it costs to get into the current library. Your patches are top-notch and wayyyy cheaper than most (maybe all) of the other creators. I’m not complaining, but if I could suggest any improvement at all, it’d be an index of sorts with a description of what each patch “is” for quick reference. There are times that I can’t guess it based on the naming scheme alone. Thanks John. You’re a legend!
