    I got to the end of this tutorial and everything was looking perfect, then enters the "mattress stich". You gave no instructions for this stitch and in the video I can't tell what's going on. Everything leading up to this point is well illustrated. I don't get it. Now, I have to Google what to do next and basically wing it. I'm a beginner. Everything leading up to the mattress stich was illustrated so well, so I don't understand speeding through the end and not fully explaining the mattress stich.

    Can you make this on a regular round loom?

    I really wish this looked as good as the pictures. It looks more like a chain mail helmet. Maybe if I expand my loom next time and fiddle with the pattern a bit I can make something more aesthetically pleasing.

      Hi, Make sure you are using the correct yarn and stitch. It you use a too thin yarn it will be holey. The Zippy make huge stitches, so only certain large super bulky yarns work.

    Every yarn tutorial tells us the brand and weight of the yarn except KB.

      This is Patons Cobbles yarn, and it works great on Zippy. It is thick, but very soft and pliable.

      Hi Julie,
      Make sure you are using the correct stitches. Any variation in stitch will be a difference.

    how heavy is the yarn the loom pegs look massive!

    • @zoebrattle8972
      @zoebrattle8972 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      zero g templar I think it's 6 super bulky and the zippy loom pegs are massive so it can hold thicker yarn

      I am trying a size 6 super bulky yarn and the stitches are very loose. Looks like big holes.

      Here's the link to the kit with all the parts to make the square shape. It is (4) zippys and (4) corners put together to get that shape. www.knittingboard.com/zippy-master-set/

    Can this similar look be done with a round loom?

    • @KBLooms
      @KBLooms  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Kind of... it will look less chunky. The row count will be different and it will take much longer to knit.

    • @KBLooms
      @KBLooms  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is Patons Cobbles yarn. For kids I would recommend a scarf to start. You can use the same stitches as in this video on the scarf.

    That is not a 6 yarn more like a 7 or more. Im using 7 and its that big and thick. If you used smaller too many holes. FYI Everyone

    • @KBLooms
      @KBLooms  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      There are many differences of #6 and #7 yarn. This yarn, Patons Cobbles yarn works great.

    I made this today. Now I know why they don't show a picture of it on. It's the ugliest dam thing ever. Totally hate it. I uses the same yarn, same colour also. This pattern needs a lot more work to be any good.
    Do any bank robber want an ugly blue balaclava?
