    Thanks for showing how to use the dropped stitch and a Zippy loom! I found the straight segments at Michaels and ordered corner parts from Amazon.

    Would this be easier to produce on very thick wooden knitting needles - then it would be all rows KNIT and no PURL ?

    Hi Ms!
    I love all of your instructions and creations. I hope you continue to make more videos. Can you tell me what yarn this was that you used?

    • @hellomsyarn
      @hellomsyarn  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Appreciate your kind words. I used Lion Brand Totally Tubular in the colour Oyster Shell, and I used two strands at a time. In the video I said I was using a #5, but I realize now that the weight of Totally Tubular is advertised as #7. It sure does not feel like a #7 though; it feels much lighter and skinnier than that. Hope this helps.

    ok, so yours look nice and tight and close together, but mine looks too loose, even though I have been following what you are doing....what did I do wrong?

    • @hellomsyarn
      @hellomsyarn  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You're not necessarily doing anything "wrong." The gauge is so large that it's hard to get tight enough stitches. You could try doing the u-knit stitch rather than e-wrap, or use bigger yarn, or try knitting more tightly. Good luck.

      @@hellomsyarn ok but now then, what is a u stitch?, sorry real newbie here. And thank you for responding, really appreciate that.

      @@renayates9382 I can suggest a couple of videos. One by Goodknitkisses called "3.2 How to Loom Knit U-knit" or one by Loomahat called "KNIT STITCH 4 Versions on a loom." Good luck.

    I have boxes and boxes of "regular" yarn, not the fancy think ones. My grandmother passed her stash of yarn to me (a non knitter or crocheter). Want to make her a scarf with pockets and saw how you can just do a plain scarf then fold it up to make pockets (easy I think). MY question is can use the hand me down yarn on a zippy? Should I double up like you do? Any advice would be wonderful, thanks in advance. Will be waiting

    • @hellomsyarn
      @hellomsyarn  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, it's hard to say how the scarf will turn out if you double up or triple up or even quadruple up the yarn. What I suggest is that you make a small swatch to check it out and see how the yarn behaves. Good luck.

    I love working with this yarn on the Zippy and it was discontinued at my local store 🙁

    Are stitches on the zippy loom interchangeable with a regular/straight 18 peg loom? I love your videos, you're so easy to follow and I appreciate it so much!

    • @hellomsyarn
      @hellomsyarn  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you have a regular loom with a more typical gauge (space between pegs) you can still follow my Zippy Loom videos. This scarf is a "flat panel" so you can use either a round loom or a straight/loom loom.

    I love doing this zippy loom stuff am trying to do a blanket so how many I need and what number yarnto do that

    • @hellomsyarn
      @hellomsyarn  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Blankets have so many different widths, so I suggest you make a scarf using the stitch you like, then do the math to figure out how many looms you need to get the desired width. In general you can use two strands of #5 or #6 weight yarn, or one strand of #7 yarn.

      This brand is the Zippy loom. You can buy more looms and snap them on.
