  • The feijoa also known as the pineapple guava is a hardy tree or shrub that flowers in the springtime. The fruit is ready to eat around September into October here in Central Florida. The plant requires around 50 chill hours to produce fruit and having more than one tree can help with pollination and fruit production. It can handle temperatures down to 15 degrees with no problems. Prune the tree after it is finished fruiting and give it regular fertilization three times a year. The feijoa is a unique fruit with a pleasant taste.

As always a great video Mark! It’s great to see you releasing a new one. I never knew about this guava variety. I’ve been growing a pink guava for 3 years and only now starting to get some fruit from it. God bless you brother and happy fruit growing to you!

You may have order on-line. You will not find these in the supermarket. Try Miami Fruits on-line.
