    Mom is absolutely 💯% correct. Oil stays active on your tools for years. Ask me how I know. So said the Doctor after I broke out all over my arms 2 years after cutting it and it was on my work gloves and tools. Now I wash everything right after use. Go Mom!

    Mr Brown - you are becoming a work helper extraordinaire! And I love how patient and kind you are to Henry. You are truly a wonderful big brother. And Josiah is getting to be so handsome! He s becoming a young man. It shows in his looks and his work ethic. You can see Lily is just marking the days until the day comes for her true love - horses! That’ll be here before you know it. A year and a half is right around the corner. And Jonah takes his operations and procedures like a trooper. It has to be a big interference in his life but he’s mature beyond his years. And Henry holding down the fort just being as cute as could be! A wonderful bunch of kids.

    Just a suggestion. When I watch Jonah walk, he looks like he's using his upper body(arms and shoulders) as he is stepping through. Sort of subconsciously favoring it by lifting his body to avoid full weight. If he would focus on only using the muscle group in his leg and core in his stride he would develop those muscles better, faster and in an appropriate manner. Try walking slowly and match the stride on the left with how he strides on the right.
    In my life I have worked with thousands of dancers and elite athletes. Even a few olympic wrestlers.
    I was the physical fitness director for the Marine Corps at Quantico, VA for a number of years back in the 80's and 90's. I also am a retired ballerina with over 45 years of experience teaching Russian Classical Ballet. I've seen literally thousands of students and studied their body mechanics for decades. I only got a chance to see Jonah take those few steps. But that's the takeaway I got. Hope this helps.

      He definitely needs to go to Physical Therapy not just a Chiropractor, the muscle tone will come back faster. KUDOS to the Chiropractor for advising P.T.

    • @christinearmington
      @christinearmington ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Great suggestions. Down the road you may want to see if someone teaching the Alexander Technique is nearby. It’s an extraordinary approach to body mechanics.

    • @rebeccaewing473
      @rebeccaewing473 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      But affects his left leg- how long will it take? In the mean time- His whole body is lopsided he’s lifting up the left side to counteract dropping down 2 inches Why can’t you put a temporary block under his shoes so he’s not walking lopsided, Many pains in back shoulders hips and until the cartilage muscle all of that grows back into his hip area

    • @rebeccaewing473
      @rebeccaewing473 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It kills me to see him continually walking lopsided when there’s just a little thing you can do to make it different until the growth comes back somehow I don’t think anybody really cares what your audience thanks cause you got a play it by the book instead of listening to those of us who have been through this- ARGH!!! 😮

Those two boys are learning something special, in their friendship, work interests, thought processes, joy of cutting trees and clearing pastures, ideas. They amaze me! And the way they operate that machinery, working together, all of it!!!! Beautiful!! Each one unique in their own way, but together? An unstoppable dynamic relationship! What a future you've opened up for them!

    I love watching this clearing project. We need to clear at least 2 acres (of a 40 acre property - we'll only ever clear 10 acres, if we need to at some point) this summer, but we can't start until the snow's gone and husband is done teaching for the year. AK has a really short construction season, so it's encouraging to see how fast those big machines can do the work! Encouragement for Jonah: my dad broke his leg at 11 years old; was in a body cast for 6 months; has had a 4" lift on his right shoe since then. 1. You are already in MUCH better shape; 2. he has had a wonderful life and, at 88, is still going strong and healthy.

    From their Great American kickstarted project when I met the Rhodes family Vblog, to my chicken processing experience with them in 2019, it's been one God-blessed journey for this beautiful family. Life, death, trials and tribulations have come and gone and they are still here, happy, healthy, kickin and prosperous. What an encouragement for millions to have learned from you, Justin, Rebecca and chiddlers. You are teaching us how to be self-sufficient and how to raise well-balanced children, finding their God-given talents so that they and their children follow in your success and be free for generations to come, on the Holler homestead. All I can say is Thank you, thank you, thank you Lord for raising up the Rhodes family. 💖

      Even burned. I have a high sensitivity to poison ivy. Suffered my entire life. By far, the very worse case I ever had was from walking through the smoke of a neighbors bonfire. I woke up the next morning with my face stuck yo my pillow and I couldn’t open my eyes they were swollen shut. It was in my nose ears and mouth. All over my face neck and hands (the rest of me was covered because it was fall and I had jeans and a light jacket on). I had huge weeping blisters on parts of my face and fingers. I had to go to hospital. Was out of work 6 weeks! And had scarring all over my face and hands. That did clear up over time with medicated face cream. I am terrified of woods that don’t have a very wide hiking path and of any burning brush that I can’t stay far away from!!

    Look into stick mobility it is actually really helpful... I had a partially dislocated pelvis for 8 years before they found out. Also look into movement therapy to relearn how to walk properly..... I found I had changed how I walked to minimise pain and the limitations,.,,, after it was put back my legs felt as if they were going to collapse and I had to relearn how to walk.. get a shiatsu pillow and a percussion massager, both I found really helpful in keeping the muscles as loose as possible. The pillow massager can be moved anywhere on the body as can the percussion massager.

    Rebekah, you could always build a small little family shed to just get away for a few hours and enjoy the views.

    The Beautiful one can grow green beans from a pot indoors during the winter. Set up an electric heater in that downstairs garage and have a few green beans, couple tomato plants, 2 cucumbrr, and 6 pepper plants. Just enclose a frame with plastic and/or T-1-11 (cheap, thin plywood-type) and put a heater with thermostat inside.

      Why not grow in the tunnel as they did last year. It's there, and a nice distraction from the remodel. Yes, you have to be attentive to what is going on in the remodel but you also have to have a distraction while they are working. You don't need to be in the middle of it. We've been there with a remodel and sitting around (it was in January) doesn't do anything for passing time. JGiles

    My dad is a pt and he said about the same thing when I told him about the injury. Massage and heat helps with muscle relaxation. His hip might go in and out of place after the surgeries so look into pts that can put him back into place. If one of your kids becomes a pt: everyone close to them would be set. Good luck on the move

    My dad was once hospitalized from burning wood that had “dead” poison ivy in it. He inhaled a small amount of the smoke and it affected his throat and lungs. That oil is insidious.

    Maybe you guys can eventually build a little cottage up on that hill, what a beautiful view there is, it would be a great location for a second honeymoon house.

    your plastic pipes come with a 'sock' that should cover the upstream entry point. it prevents dirt and debris from entering the pipe
