    Also got the F750gs 3 months ago and I am really happy with it. Very nimble and agile. Also feels really light for the size of it. Well balanced as well at low speeds. Love the TFT display. Tell the owner those bar ends go on the inside of the hand guards lol. Cheers from Peru

    Did a long test ride on this bike. It's everything you said and more. Easy, light on it's feet, and plenty of zip when you need it. And I think it works for any experience level too. I could see a beginner on this bike or anyone else. It has it all.

    Thx a lot for the review. I ordered the exclusive version two weeks ago. I hope it will arrive next week. For me the equipment in this class was the selling point. No other competitor has this variability in equipment. In addition, BMW has pretty much the best luggage solution on the market. The Vario cases are ingenious.

    I test rode the 850GS a few months back. Love the motor and the TFT display, but for me personally the front suspension was just too soft and isn't adjustable, the electronic suspension is rear only on the 750 and 850GS. I currently ride a Versys 650 which is very similar to the 750GS, but has an adjustable fork and just firmer suspension in general (Fork and rear shock have both preload and rebound), I have it dialed in and it is pretty much a surgical instrument on a twisty road (what the versys is known for), I found the 850GS to be a bit floaty up front, but the motor is great.

      To want more out of a bike means you need to take more courses to learn to ride it better :) Every bike has so much more to unlock once you have the skill to a mastery level. With your new bike hopefully you get into a bunch!

    • @powayimports4175
      @powayimports4175 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Motorcycle Guy so to answer both comments. It’s not that i don’t know how to ride a smaller bike and need more practice. It’s that I wanted a bike with more options and more effortless power. A bike that can go farther. The 310 is just way too lacking in every department. The 850 has a larger tire set up and too tall for my liking. Makes it more of an off road bike and that’s not the main riding style I’m in too. The 750 was super cool and a major contender but i decided i wanted the 1250. It’s your money and you get to choose what you want. Not all about skills. But please Don’t get me wrong skills are important and every one is responsible for them selves and self improvement.

    Hmmm very interesting MJ. My bike by sheer councidence is an F700 GS 2014 model too (with the low suspension) and I was in two minds about the measley 2 extra horsepower that BMW have upgraded this model to. Considering that the 850 GS is now at 95 horsepower (an extra 10 HP from 85), I figured that this bike may be a bit of a white elephant. However you've got me really thinking about this one as your demo ride gave it the thumbs up. Looks good and handles well. I didn't realise that it was so high tech either. Good on you once again for the great video - hope it comes with the low suspension option. I'll have to check it out. Cheers :)

    • @SeanC1959
      @SeanC1959 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MotoJitsu No, I do very little off road riding. The lowered suspension which is around 40mm - 35mm front and rear makes for a rough ride. I'm running Metzler Tourance 90/10 tyres too. I find the 700 is much better suited to road riding. I like the quick shift option on the 750 !!!

    What scares me about having all this technology on board, some riders may get distracted playing with it while riding. I'm already seeing riders tapping on their phones and GPS units while riding. I'm not knocking the technology, I think it's great. It's starting to become like cars with lots of distractions on board. This reminds me of a recent course I took. And one of the instructors brought in his 3 wheel Honda Goldwing, Eurowing. He let another instructor take it for a ride. After an extended period, the other instructor had to ask where the start button was.

"It doesn't dive too much" Can you compare to the GS and let's for reference's sake say that the GS dives 0.0%. Its the whole reason why I clicked in on this video. Thanks.

    My understanding is BMW doesn't have the best reliability record. Everything else about this bike intrigues me greatly. I'm done which huge heavyweights. For me less is becoming more. This bike seems to have everything I would need other than a different shield and closer bars both of which I'm assuming would be easily fixable. Had a V-strom 650 which was super reliable and that is very important to me. The Strom did not have a lot of what is stock on this new ride though. BMW dealers where I live don't want to give you the time of day unless you walk in ready to buy and even then no demo ride.

They have terrible customer service and the salespeople don't know their products and most likely most of them don't even ride. They told me I can only test ride a bike if I schedule it through the manufacturer, even though I know both BMW and Triumph require their dealers to have a test ride fleet...
