100% agree with you. I was offset at first by the sheer quantity of mini's this game offered for the actual purpose they have. One thing I did to help setup it to just ignore the placement of mini on each den. I only place them when I attack one of them.
It is absolutely underrated. I love it solo. I have yet to play it with others, but I can't imagine it being better than solo and can easily see it dragging with higher player counts.

Vengeance is one of my favorite games. I feel it's underrated. We always play at least 2 games in a row. So set up isnt so bad.
