Hi great video, I actually bought the bronzing cream twice and gave them away both times as they didn’t show on my olive skin and was hoping they would have brought out a darker colour so won’t be buying it again : stay healthy and your usual happy self

I don't have the old bronzing cream, was interested in getting the new one. But as soon as I heard about the coconut oil, well, it is so off putting. I am with you in the shade ranges. As a few things don't show on my Brazilian/olive tone.

Thank you for the beautiful video! Coconut oil seems like such a polemical ingredient in makeup. I haven't tried this new formula yet, but I know a lot of people get breakouts from it. It's a shame they didn't come out with 3 or 4 different shades.

Quick question how similar is the bright peach eyeshadow against the peach shadow in the warm memories palette?
I feel like it also depends on how you wear makeup i wear my foundation make-up very light and only set under my eyes. If you powder and buff prime with heavy pore filling primers it may not be a product for you. Wonderful review i was on the fence with the eye pallette now im in love 😍
Absolutely! The chemistry of our skin in addition of the ingredients of other products use in combination, even at layering them, sometimes they don’t agree with each other and sometimes they look like magic. I also love light makeup, less is more, mostly on my pores and fine lines, lol I wish I can turn the clock back in time 😆 Thank you for watching Jessica 🙏🏻💖😘

Hi Jaqueline, thanks for your honest review! In response the solei tan both look the same. So disappointed with Chanel for not making for darker skin tones. I am also a light medium and this hardly shows on me. I actually use it to color correct my melasma. The new powder bronzer are beautiful!

I am on a "Low Buy" so I'm vicariously living through this chanel haul🙌😘 I have heard the new Tan De Chanel not only didn't add shades for medium to deep skin. But the new formula is NOTHING like the original. Why did they mess up a good thing? People love it for a reason. Why mess with the formula, JUST ADD SHADES🤷♀️🤦♀️ Really dumb Chanel. Lol. Hi Tara!!! You are here my friend! Love you!!! Believe me ..I’m in the same boat, no buying, I’m hanging tight to any gift cards I have been able to accumulate, online credits (zero credit cards - nada!) my Rakuten and TopCashBack gift cards have become handy too - I have no idea why did Chanel had to change the formula, but I didn’t encountered the same problem as Mel, my foundation did not move, separate and it wore fine throughout the day, I think perhaps it could be she had an allergic reaction, I was so sad when I saw that and curious too. Now there is that open possibility of the type of foundation, the one I used in nature is dewy, honestly don’t know. The worst is the missed opportunity of such iconic fashion house not stepping up their game to add more shades and be more inclusive, it seems we are waiting year after year. @@heyitsjackeline I agree ! Definitely support and value mels opinion on this Chanel bronzer and kept in mind. However at the end of the day an opinion is made on many factors ( skin type, products used mixed etc , allergies etc ). Her style foundation make-up is completely different style then yours . Mel is more of a high coverage gal and almost always buffs with multiple powders etc. She almost always uses primers, powders and matte semi matte foundation on top of It she has an allergy i totally get it. I like to only set my under eyes and wear only cream/liquid light natural coverage i also could not tell a difference but maybe if i set mine then it would break :-/ my face makeup up.

I think slightly the original Soleil looked a bit more flawless and blended. Not patchy. The new 1 wasn't bad, but I could tell a small difference. I'm bummed because I get little red bumps from coconut so I will never be able to try it. Why oh why Chanel??!!!
You didn’t hear it from me but Chanel will be releasing more shades in the Soleil tan de Chanel . I’m unhappy about the reformulation but I’ve ranted enough all over YT so I’ll shut up ! Beautiful, soft , romantic look you created ! Thank you .

Hi. The eyeshadow looks stunning on you! My skintype and eyes are similar to you so I thought about getting it . But have seen other reviews that are not so impressed about the color payoff . So have second thoughts now.. it is a lot of money, you know.. would you recommend it, or do you recommend some other pallets?
Hi Mari! I really appreciate your comment and question. I love this palette, here is my feedback.... As most Chanel and other luxury products are created in a way whereas they are not extremely pigmented, they are meant to give you a chic elegant look, and this achieve that. This palette has the right amount of pigmentation, you can build up, the eyeshadows are non patchy and there is no fall out. I think it all depends on preferences, if you like very pigmented eyeshadows, like inmediate pay off, this may not be for you, but otherwise this palette is so so pretty. I don't encourage returns due to waste, but Chanel's website (not boutiques) have an excellent return policy, also the palette is now been sold at Nordstrom which also have an outstanding return policy. Your skin looks beautiful... I also watched Mel's video and I was disappointed with the new Chanel cream bronzer which moved her foundation. It appears to be a little darker which would be perfect for me. The original cream bronzer was too light for my medium/Tan skin tone. I think I'm going to give it a try anyways along with the bronzer powder. Great review. I just hope it does not move my Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation.
I’m scared to try the new cream bronzer formula. I don’t like coconut oil. And I can’t smell the fragrance (it’s super faint) in the old formula but their newer products seem to have even heavier fragrance (which I really dislike)... good thing a tub lasts forever and I bought one (old formula) not too long ago. PS, “So-lay”. Don’t pronounce the second “l”. 😊💕

Bought the new one ☝️ And I’m sorry but I hate it !!!
The new formulation is bloody crap !!! Slides all over the place and colour doesn’t stay all day like the original ... I’ve just binned it !!!
Most of my friends feel the same too ... I don’t know any dermatologist that would appreciate the coconut oil derivatives they’ve put in this new product either ?? I’ve emailed Chanel 8 times now asking why they’ve done this and guess what ?? Yep not one reply

Christine I was fortunate enough to snag one of the last original soleil tan de Chanel from Nordstrom and after I got it I took the time to review and compare the ingredients to see why they would make the decision to drastically change the ingredients. Two things stood out to me. The obvious which we all know by know was the coconut oil. Part of me things that they switched to coconut oil so they would be able to promote it as “clean beauty” since pretty much most luxury clean beauty as coconut oil in it. Interestingly enough the original was already vegan but they never push it as vegan. I won’t be surprised if we see them not only push it as vegan but also as “clean”. The other thing I noticed was that they removed phenoxyethanol and three parabens. Over the years there’s been a lot of controversy over these ingredients and people not seeming them “safe” or “clean”. Personally I don’t care whether or not these ingredients are in products but since people scrutinize brands even ingredients nowadays it makes sense on why Chanel would jump on the bandwagon to remove all these ingredients all together and replace them with “clean” ingredients. Unfortunately I hate this decision and I hate the clean beauty movement. It has ruined many products I used to love.
