@inevitable8562 nope. Closest I got was creating a new drive from the recovery menu and reinstalling os through the new drive and it worked fine. Only thing is none of my stuff is on there so now I'm trying again to get it started from my actual drive where all my stuff is AGAIN lol. Most likely only solution is to get a new mac.
OMG!!!! Weeks…WEEKS i’ve been working at this! But the answer… The answer that you had… The one that worked - single-user mode. I don’t know why I don’t care. I’m just so happy. thank you.
First click on turn on button, then immediately cmd+R, and you should check if the computer is connected to the wifi, if not you should connect it first. Then Mac Os reinstall option should be selected and move on. That is it. No need to try anything else
Hi similar problem. I had open core and something messed up now I tried installing big sur ( supported ) , after installing it gets stuck on apple logo. Progress bar stuck at half way forever.
My Mac is maybe 8 years old and just freezes immediately on startup. The line doesn't move at all and just goes to a grey screen. I have to connect using an hdmi to another monitor even for the screen to work. Had this issue before but it outta nowhere started working again by itself without an additional monitor but now it happened again. Tried all these tips but still not working. Feeling stuck at the moment.
I have MacBook Pro 2012 A1278 running High Sierra. I have tried literally ever step mentioned and still the loading bar get stuck after login. It does stuck at 75%. I did tons of research and couldn’t figure it out. Any recommendations please?!
Safe mode method worked for me. For Intel processor based Mac hold the shift key immediately after turning on Mac and press the shift key until it loads into safe mode
My macbook computer goes to the login screen, i type in my password, then it takes FOREVER to load the login, but once the bar gets to the end, it doesn't log me in. It just sits there. HOW DO I FIX IT LOL
