Also I don't remember if I ever mentioned it here, but I used to work in a thrift store. They get tons of photo paper in, at thrift stores. Thus, a very cheap way to supply our needs.😅
Yes! I was going to suggest thrift stores! I have a large stash of photo papers that I got super cheap from thrift stores!
If you didn't know, Tim Holtz has a Distress Micro Glaze which seals in the oxide layer, and also allows you to add more color over it.
Oh my gosh!!! I think the stencil technique with the oxides is my favorite!!!!! 🤩
Thank you, Sasha! I love how you get excited to share your creative finds. Please, please, please take care of your family. We will do our best to take care of you & that darn algorithm.😊
Holy smokes. I see photo paper in the thrift stores all the time and never knew what to do with it!!! I’m so excited to find these ideas.
As much as this technique is a delight to behold, it’s ever more a treat to view YOU demonstrating it! The joy in your soul comes through the airwaves and is contagious!! Thank you for sharing both with me! 🙏 ‼️
OMG girl! You have literally blown me away! I've always used photo paper for my alcohol inks, but never THIS !
You know you have created a monster here! I have the paper, I have the oxides...I may never come out of the craft room again!
Thank you for sharing your creativity and passion with us! I liked and subscribed cuz I gotta stick with you now!
Eye opener for sure, Sasha. This one is going to be saved and enjoyed over and over!! Thank you so much for sharing. Hope your water and computer woes get resolved soon.
You and your techniques blow me away.....you are one amazing crafter...🎉😂
Oh yes, can't wait to try this technique. Stunning results.. Tfs xx
Sasha I love when you and Natasha go down the rabbit hole. Thks this was fun and exciting. Tyfd😙👍👍take care of your family
Ha ha she is amazing isnt she, my fave TH-camr out there
Wow, what an awesome technique. Those backgrounds are stunning, and the oxide colours change right before your eyes - so amazing, love it 🤗
MIND BLOWN WIDE OPEN! I have stacks of 4 x 6 glossy and satin photo paper just sitting around. Tomorrow the gloves go on (literally) and backgrounds will be made! So many thanks!
ha ha i love comments like this, make my day! Hope you have fun, if you look at the play list there are a ton of other ideas ive discovered on there :)
" Mare in ers ' wow, wiping off oxides on glossy with water was awesome!!!
Astounding results, Sasha! I've hit the Doldrums with crafting lately, but this technique has inspired me again! Thank you 🤗
Oh im so pleased! I hope you give it a go, it's so satisfying
These backgrounds are amazing….never would I ever imagine them looking like that….now I need photo paper….hope I get the right one!
What a ‘WOW’ technique! I love how these came out. Thanks so much for sharing.
Also, I’m sorry for how difficult life has been for you lately. Hang in there.
Absolutely beautiful! Thank you for sharing your incredible talent and ideas!! Take care 🥰
What a terrific technique! I've got some old photo paper that I thought I should probably throw away...not now! Thanks Sasha 🙂
An amazing look with all the inks on the photo paper. Colours are SO vibrant. I can see the necessity for gloves lol
We have not had much snow in central Ontario but some coming tonight. Hope your Mum is well . Love does travel miles to keep in touch when you are far apart.🎄
Please make these into cards! I can’t wait to see where you go with them!!!😊
Ha ha i will im sure, but i'll probably pop them on instagram. Are you on there?
Backgrounds are my favourite creative outlet. This technique will make lively hearts for the hundred Valentine's I do for an aged care facility. Thanks for the inspiration!
I saw your original oxides on photo paper. This is even better.
Gosh those backgrounds are incredible. Love the vibrant colours
It was one of the top fun discoveries of the year for me, i love it
Wow, Sasha, these are AWESOME!!! And thank you for sharing that you can "clean" Distress Oxides on photo paper with just water & a cloth. I've seen it done with a baby wipe, but I hate to keep throwing baby wipes into the landfill (ultimately) and, since I rarely use them for anything else, they end up drying out in the package, so I have to throw those out without even having used them. And don't even get me started on the plastic packaging they come in. :P Anyway, you have just saved me loads of woe, so again - thank you! :) I am STILL making holiday cards, so I don't have time just to "play" right now - not that making cards is dull work and not fun. There is a light at the end of the tunnel with that project, though, as I'm almost done! :) But I'll definitely keep this technique in mind for future crafting. Anyway, thank you once again for sharing this. Love all your backgrounds. I hope things settle down for you all soon. Take care, & have a wonderful day! :)
this is the first time I've seen anything that tempt me to invest in oxide inks. WOW that is an awesome technique.
WOW! WOW!! WOW!!! Love this technique!!! When I print some of my photos, I keep the photo paper scraps and now I will use them for your technique. Thank you for sharing this. I love your videos and crafting style. Take care and Happy Holidays to you and your family!!!

This reminds me of what we used to do decades ago with glossy card stock. It was all the rage back then and I still have a ton of it. I can’t remember if you tried this technique with glossy paper versus photo paper. I have both to use up lol so I’ll give it a go!
These are fantastic!
