As a Thai, it's clear for me that many of you guys don't really understand what's going on here in my beloved country.
If this video get circulated among us, I'm sure we would appreciate that you guys are showing concern about us, but honestly, it will not be taken seriously by anyone.
Many of you asking us to learn from your mistake in 1986, I get your point. However, do you know that we also have series of our own lessons to learn such as;
- 1932 The Siamese Revolution
- 1973 Thai Students Uprising and Massacre
- 1976 Thammasat University Massacre
- 1992 Black May
(I have lived through this event.)
and a few more.
These events have led us to where we are now. So for any of you who want a deeper understanding of our messy situation, please take your time reading through the modern history of Thailand's politics, at least starting from the Siamese Revolution in 1932 when the king gave up his crown (?).
