I see that Oxi peaking in. Would be the doggy’s if you could do a vid about their comparison and interplay. Really interested in how they would complement each other. Cheers!
That's really lovely. I wonder what the best VST option that compares to this is. I know i can easily hook up some stuff like this in bitwig, but I find the user experience on this so much more intuitive y'know. Very cool
Thanks for the video. Def helps me determine what I want to build upon. What’s the smaller text screen with yellow background that shows up around 5:40?
I think because it’s so granular a percentage is more readable, tho it would be cool to show a percentage alongside whole divisions when you scroll to them
does the oxi one have the same tempo flux capability? Not separate track tempos but the tempo drifting up and down while the sequence is running? I'm obviously not up to speed with the cutting edge hardware these days but used to manually do that with elektron stuff while it was running. Cool that its a feature on the hapax.
I'm looking to add a hardware sequencer to my iPad + 1 hardware synthesizer setup. If you've used an OXI One before as well, which would you say is the quickest to work with /least amount of menu diving? Which do you prefer?
Hapax is more stable and easier. Oxi has temperamental midi. Some days it's fine other days I've wasted hours. Oxi themselves were unhelpful and told me to RTFM and refused a return. Save up for Hapax.
Hello! Very Nice demo thank you! Can I ask what are you sequencing for the Glockenspiel sound. Is it an internal sample or an external device? Thanks a lot. Also your video on the Pulsar was really interesting.
That's just what happens when you child a MIDI device to a parent one, it's still tight just a decimal point of the BPM fluctuates, happens on all MIDI gear.
Why is your core BPM slightly drifting in the section about elastic BPM? You can see the decimals fluctuating. Are you slightly modulating it, or is the BPM slaved to another midi device?
🔥💛 Hapax is worth the price for sure, it's a 💎
useful tutorial! look forwards to more hapax tips

Good idea! We'll add that to the list - definitely a topic that's worth exploring.
Definitely interested in the same
Can second this sentiment!
I can anticipate you can do all what he did in the video with the OXI One!
did this ever eventuate? Would loooove to see! 😀
That was great! Please make more of these. So many features on the Hapax to explore.
My favorite sequencer. Please make more videos on it!
Yes! More of this!
Wonderful video, thanks. There is a complete lack of tutorial videos out there I find for the Hapax. Yours are perfect, I hope you do more.
Thanks for this, I just started digging into the Hapax effects and this is a huge help.

Perhaps some of the new tools in Ableton’s latest update, looks like it has taken some inspiration from the MIDI FX from Squarp. Not used myself tho
scaler2 for chords, bitwig can do the midi cc stuff
Very cool! I'm upgrading from the Hermod+ to the Hapax to have more hands on control. This has helped a lot cheers!
Hrmmm... I use the hermod+ and wondering if the upgrade is worth it.. the portability is nice... more hands on controls good.. we'll see!
@@510th I'm enjoying working with the HAPAX a lot more that the Hermod+ so far
Awesome tutorial! Learnt a lot just on part 1 ❤
The hapax is a joy to use
Great video!
very cool and very inspiring! I love my hapax and I use it in a very very different way
I never had a hardware sequencer. The HAPAX... how difficult was to learn how to use it? Thanks for the video!
I think it’s quite intuitive! It’s all quite clearly laid out
@SoundsMick Thanks for your reply!
Appreciated.

Why is the clock divider show “percent” of project time? Wouldn’t music time make more sense like 1/2 1/4 2/1 etc

Which do you prefer?
My personal preference is Hapax because of its size and layout / ease of use
Hapax is more stable and easier. Oxi has temperamental midi. Some days it's fine other days I've wasted hours. Oxi themselves were unhelpful and told me to RTFM and refused a return. Save up for Hapax.

That was Speldosa on the iPad, I think they have a desktop version too, it sound real nice
Exellent video , may i ask if the midi fx works live also .... or only on already created sequences ?
Versus the OXI , any preference ? ?
Why was the tempo BPM moving all over the place when you were talking about elastic BPM? Bug?
That's just what happens when you child a MIDI device to a parent one, it's still tight just a decimal point of the BPM fluctuates, happens on all MIDI gear.
How would you compare the oxi one and the hapax?
Why is your core BPM slightly drifting in the section about elastic BPM? You can see the decimals fluctuating. Are you slightly modulating it, or is the BPM slaved to another midi device?
Ah yeah it’s slaved to something else, quite common for decimals of BPM to fluctuate a little on slaved devices.
how do you find Hapax and Oxi as a combo for modular?
Can the transposition be triggered via midi using an external keyboard?
you can do all that with the OXI One for half of the price and better build quality!! 😄
And 1/4 of the usability ;-)
I've owned them both; the Hapax is definitely more capable. But Oxi is cool.
