Such a neat little plane. I used to watch t-37s come an go at D-M. Thank you for sharing.
I just had one of these fly over my house here in the north of Peru.
Wow! Still operational or civil owned?
@@NigelWoolleyaviation operational, I believe they still use them to shoot down drug smugglers. I saw two more fly over later that afternoon.
@@ZKorvin Thanks for replying Zak with those details! The Dragonfly would be a good intercepter of drug runners with it's speed and agilty. It seems they are from 711 Squadron the 'Scorpions". Cheers
My great uncle's friend was part of that A-37 squadron. 516th FS. 518th wasn't an A-37 squadron. Consisted of A-1 Sky Raiders, where my great uncle began his service.
Thanks for sharing those details. It's always good to hear family stories or connections in the Air Force whether past or present. Cheers!
Excelente video desde chile gran avión ese a37 dragon fly lastima que no lo tenemos aunque algunos están en reservas A mi también me gusta los aviones y el aermodelisno 😮🇨🇱🤘🤘
It was among one of the good stuff in the Republic of Vietnam Air Force!
My great uncle flew that plane during the VN War. He transferred to A-37 from A-1 after achieving Top Gun trophy on April 1970.
@@lord.d1_ that is an interesting story.
I never knew about this aircraft. If you ask me, it's beautiful. I used to watch B47s, B36, and B 52 in the 50s at D-M. After that I guess I lost interest. I don't think I ever looked up for one of these. Quite a pity it passed me by.
Hi John. Certainly an agile and capable aircraft for it's purposes and era. We all discover unknown aircraft....and I'm currently reading about the B-36 thanks to you! Cheers.
@@NigelWoolleyaviation Cheers as well!
Lovely aircraft -never seen one fly before Wales UK.
One of these little jewels was parked at Los Alamitos Naval Air Station in 1969. I was there to work on the F4 Phantom fire control systems. I could push down on the tail of the plane and lift the nose off the ground. It was the coolest little bird I have ever seen.
Maybe they make all Cessnas like that ha. One cool little bird next to some big cool birds!. Cheers AM!
I worked with T 37s and T 38s at Columbus AFB MS in the late 70's. Loud little screamers.
You know them very well then!
What a great little aircraft
The most effective way to turn jet fuel into large amounts of noise. my name for was the flying siren
This is very true
Old is gold
Well said 🙂
Very nice video, That’s special to see this, love it
We still have this aircraft, on full active duty, here in South America
Good to hear . Hopefully well maintained and enjoyed by the current pilots.
Beautiful side by side trainer prior to the Talon...
We called the Trainer version "Tweets". My first Jet.,
Interesting machine, nice video.

I wonder how much this aircraft influenced Cessna´s Citation I design.
Thank a bunch...!...Nice..
Tweety Bird..
