The wing tip tanks hold fuel - JP-4. An A-37 without refueling drogue is an A--37A, with a drogue it is an A-37B. The fuel that could be refilled via drogue would have been JP-4 jet fuel. For a time some of the A-37s were flown by USAF Reserve units in the United States (around 1974-76 time frame).

I worked on the T37 back in 1960's and that is part of the reason I do not hear too well.!!!🦇
